ASUS has officially teased a new Republic of Gamers desktop product, the ROG G1000, and confirmed that it will be revealed during its CES 2026 presentation in January.
The teaser was shared on ASUS ROG’s verified social media accounts. According to the company, the full announcement will take place on January 5, 2026, at 3 PM PST, as part of its CES showcase.
AniMe Holo Display Highlighted in Teaser
The short teaser video focuses on a new visual feature called AniMe Holo. To hint at the design, ASUS used the line, “Something is spinning at the heart of the G1000.”
Based on the visuals shown so far, AniMe Holo appears to be a rotating LED display housed inside the PC case. Instead of using a traditional screen, this display relies on LEDs that spin at a very high speed.
When the LEDs spin fast enough, the human eye perceives the light as a complete and stable image. This visual effect is known as persistence of vision and is commonly used in small hologram-style displays.
Unusual Design for a Gaming PC Case
Most gaming PC cases today use RGB lighting, glass panels, or LCD screens. A built-in spinning display is rarely seen in commercial desktop designs.
If confirmed, this approach would make the ROG G1000 stand out from typical gaming cases by adding a moving visual element inside the chassis rather than static lighting.
Connection to ASUS AniMe Branding
The AniMe Holo name also follows ASUS’s earlier AniMe Matrix branding. AniMe Matrix displays appeared on several ROG laptops in the past and used fixed LED dots to show images or text on the laptop lid.
AniMe Holo seems to be a new version of that idea, designed for desktop systems and using motion instead of fixed lights.
Key Details Still Not Confirmed
At the moment, ASUS has not shared technical specifications for the ROG G1000. The company has also not confirmed whether the product is:
- A standalone PC case
- A complete prebuilt gaming desktop
Details about pricing, availability, cooling layout, airflow design, and display customization options have not been announced.
What to Expect at CES 2026
ASUS is expected to provide full details about the ROG G1000 during its CES 2026 presentation. This event will confirm whether the product is intended for retail sale or is simply a design concept for future gaming desktops.
Until then, the ROG G1000 remains one of the most visually unique desktop products showcased ahead of CES 2026.
