ASUS has started selling a new version of its TUF Gaming A14 laptop in the United States. The system is based on AMD’s new Strix Halo platform and uses the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 processor with Radeon 8060S integrated graphics. Online retail listings show the laptop with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, and a 14-inch 165Hz display. The current price listed by US retailers is about $2,199.
This laptop is notable because it does not use a traditional dedicated graphics card. Instead, the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 combines a powerful CPU and a large integrated GPU on the same chip. The processor has 12 CPU cores and 24 threads with a base clock of 3.2GHz and boost speeds up to 5.0GHz. The built-in Radeon 8060S graphics unit is much larger than the integrated GPUs usually found in laptops.
