ASUS has quietly listed a new ultrawide gaming monitor on its global website. The model, called the TUF Gaming VG34WQML5A, targets competitive players with a high refresh rate panel, fast response time, and several gaming-focused display features, joining other recent ASUS gaming monitors such as the ASUS ROG XG34WCDMTG OLED ultrawide monitor.
The monitor uses a 34-inch Fast VA panel with a 1500R curvature and a native resolution of 3440 × 1440, providing an ultrawide workspace for gaming and productivity. ASUS says the display can reach refresh rates up to 250Hz through overclocking, paired with a 0.5 ms response time, which helps reduce motion blur and ghosting during fast-paced scenes.
Support for AMD FreeSync Premium is included to synchronize the display with the GPU’s frame output, minimizing screen tearing and stutter during gameplay. The monitor also supports ASUS Extreme Low Motion Blur Sync (ELMB Sync), allowing motion blur reduction to operate alongside variable refresh rate for smoother and clearer images at high frame rates.
The VG34WQML5A covers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and carries VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, enabling higher brightness and improved contrast in HDR content, similar to premium displays like the ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM3 OLED gaming monitor. The Fast VA panel also features a 4000:1 static contrast ratio, helping darker scenes retain more detail in games and video playback.

The company has added several gaming assistance tools through its TUF Gaming AI features, including dynamic crosshair adjustments and shadow enhancement technologies intended to improve visibility in darker environments. ASUS also includes DisplayWidget Center software, which allows users to adjust monitor settings and profiles directly from Windows instead of using the on-screen display controls.
Connectivity options are designed to support multiple systems and gaming setups. According to ASUS documentation, the monitor includes two HDMI ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 connections, and a USB hub, along with a 3.5 mm audio output jack and integrated speakers.

The ultrawide design and high refresh rate combination place the VG34WQML5A in a segment that is becoming increasingly popular among competitive PC gamers, alongside high refresh displays like the ASUS ROG Strix XG27UCG gaming monitor. Ultrawide displays can provide a wider field of view in supported titles while still maintaining a high refresh rate for smoother gameplay.
ASUS has not yet confirmed global pricing or a release date for the monitor. However, its appearance on the company’s official website suggests the model is preparing for an upcoming retail launch.
