Thermaltake has released the new Dockpower FI series of ATX 3.1 power supplies, which have a detachable modular cable dock to simplify desktop builds. This design separates the main power unit from the modular connector housing. PC builders can route their desktop cables to the dock module first and then slide the main power unit into place.
Swapping or upgrading the power unit does not require disconnecting any motherboard or graphics card cables. The bridge connection between the power supply body and the dock module uses server-grade 30μ gold-plated contacts to ensure low electrical resistance. Users secure the dock module directly to the power supply casing using D-ring screws.

The Dockpower FI series includes 750W, 850W, 1000W, and 1200W models, which will sell in both black and Snow white color schemes. PC builders can estimate their power requirements using tools like the Seasonic power supply calculator before choosing a capacity. All models in the lineup hold 80 PLUS Gold efficiency certification and are fully compatible with PCIe Gen 5.1 specifications.
This modular design contrasts with typical showpiece components, such as the custom concept units seen in the ASRock Taichi Anniversary collection. Thermaltake bundles flat, low-profile black cables to improve airflow inside compact desktop enclosures. The overall dimensions of the units check in at 150 x 86 x 160 mm (5.9 x 3.4 x 6.3 inches).

To power high-performance graphics cards, the units have two native 12V-2×6 connectors rated for up to 600W each. Thermaltake uses a dual-color design on the connectors to help builders visually confirm that the power cables are fully inserted. Other internal specifications include a 135mm hydraulic bearing fan, active PFC, and a single +12V rail design.
The components are built for longevity, with a rated minimum mean time between failures of 100,000 hours. Thermaltake has not confirmed retail pricing details on its official website. The product listings currently display the models as out of stock, but retail availability is expected to begin soon.
