GMKtec G3 Pro Mini PC Launches From $149 With 2.5G LAN

GMKtec has officially expanded the availability of its NucBox G3 Pro mini PC to the global market, introducing an affordable compact desktop powered by Intel’s 10th Gen Core i3-10110U processor. The system starts at $169.99 for the barebone configuration, but a limited-time G3PV20 coupon reduces the effective entry price to $149.99, positioning it among the most competitively priced mini PCs with 2.5G Ethernet currently available worldwide.

The G3 Pro is aimed at home offices, small businesses, homelab users, lightweight NAS setups, and edge deployments where expandability and network throughput matter more than cutting-edge silicon.

GMKtec is offering three configurations globally:

Launch Pricing and Configurations

ConfigurationLaunch PriceWith G3PV20 Coupon
Barebone (No RAM, No SSD, No OS)$169.99$149.99
8GB RAM + 256GB SSD$239.99$219.99
16GB RAM + 512GB SSD$299.99$279.99

At sub-$150 entry pricing, the barebone model undercuts many Intel N100 mini PCs that lack 2.5G LAN or dual M.2 storage expansion.

This G3 Pro comes with Intel’s Core i3-10110U, a dual-core, four-thread Comet Lake processor with a 2.1GHz base clock and boost speeds up to 4.1GHz. While newer entry-level mini PCs often rely on Intel N100 chips optimized for efficiency, the i3-10110U delivers a higher peak turbo frequency, which benefits burst-heavy office productivity workloads, browser multitasking, spreadsheet operations, and light virtualization.

The processor operates across selectable power modes, including an ultra-quiet 8W silent mode, a 10W balanced mode, and a 15W performance mode. This adjustable TDP configuration makes the G3 Pro suitable for 24/7 operation scenarios such as small servers, media libraries, and always-on file storage where energy efficiency and thermal control are important.

Integrated Intel UHD Graphics handles display output and light multimedia workloads. The system supports dual HDMI 1.4 outputs capable of driving two 4K displays at up to 4K@24Hz. Although the 24Hz limitation is not designed for high-refresh creative workflows, it remains fully adequate for productivity, dashboards, digital signage, and media playback.

Upgrade flexibility is one of the G3 Pro’s strongest advantages in the budget mini PC category. The device includes dual SO-DIMM slots and supports up to 64GB of DDR4 memory (32GB ×2). Many similarly priced systems cap memory at 16GB or 32GB, so the 64GB ceiling significantly broadens potential use cases including virtualization labs, container hosting, and heavier multitasking environments.

Storage expansion is handled through dual M.2 slots with official support for up to 8TB total capacity. This configuration allows users to separate the operating system and data drives, create large media libraries, or deploy mirrored storage setups depending on their needs. In the sub-$200 segment, dual M.2 support combined with high-capacity expansion remains relatively uncommon.

Connectivity is where the G3 Pro clearly differentiates itself. The system includes a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port powered by Intel’s i226 controller, offering substantially higher throughput than traditional 1GbE ports commonly found in entry-level mini PCs. For NAS deployments, high-speed local file transfers, or network-heavy workflows, 2.5G LAN can significantly reduce bottlenecks.

Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring compatibility with modern routers and peripherals while maintaining stable performance.

Port selection includes four USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports (5Gbps), two HDMI 1.4 outputs, a 3.5mm audio jack, DC power input, and a security lock slot. This layout supports multi-display office setups and multiple peripheral connections without requiring external hubs.

The device measures 114 × 106 × 44 mm and weighs approximately 280 grams. A VESA mount bracket is included, enabling behind-monitor installation for clean desk setups in offices, retail counters, classrooms, and reception areas.

The platform supports Windows 11 Pro, which is particularly relevant for business users requiring domain join support, BitLocker encryption, remote desktop hosting, and enterprise management features without investing in larger desktop towers.

In today’s entry-level mini PC segment, competition increasingly revolves around expandability, network capability, and price-to-feature ratio rather than raw processor generation. Compared to typical Intel N100 mini PCs, the G3 Pro offers stronger peak clock speeds, significantly higher maximum memory capacity, dual M.2 storage expansion, and Intel-based 2.5G networking — features that give it a more infrastructure-ready profile for advanced home users and small businesses.

While Intel N100 systems may offer slightly better energy efficiency per watt, the G3 Pro delivers stronger burst performance, greater memory headroom, and superior wired networking, making it better suited for users who need both productivity performance and infrastructure flexibility.

With global availability and promotional pricing starting effectively at $149.99, the GMKtec NucBox G3 Pro enters the 2026 budget mini PC market as a compelling option for buyers seeking a compact Windows system that balances cost, expandability, and network performance.
