Razer has introduced the Huntsman Signature Edition, a $499.99 tenkeyless (TKL) layout gaming keyboard limited to 1,337 individually serialized units. Sales begin February 22 at 8AM PT through Razer.com. The wired release combines Gen-2 Analog Optical switches, True 8,000Hz polling, adjustable actuation control, and a fully CNC-milled 6063 aluminum chassis with hand-polished PVD accents.
Unlike the standard Huntsman V3 Pro 8K, this edition does not introduce new switch technology. Instead, it upgrades materials, construction, finishing precision, and production exclusivity while retaining Razer’s highest polling rate platform.
The chassis is milled from a solid block of anodized 6063 aluminum rather than using mixed aluminum and plastic construction. Select components receive Physical Vapor Deposition treatment, a coating process commonly used in watchmaking and automotive trim for increased surface durability and reflective depth. Razer includes textured doubleshot PBT keycaps for long-term wear resistance along with a mirror-polished metallic snake keycap unique to this model.
Internally, the keyboard uses Razer Analog Optical Switches Gen-2. These switches support adjustable actuation from 0.1mm to 4.0mm, Rapid Trigger for near-instant reset, Snap Tap for cleaner directional switching in competitive titles, and analog input detection that enables variable input control similar to a controller trigger.

The board operates at an 8,000Hz polling rate. Standard gaming keyboards report at 1,000Hz, or once every 1 millisecond. At 8,000Hz, reporting intervals drop to 0.125 milliseconds. In practice, this reduces theoretical input latency contribution from the keyboard layer of the system chain. The benefit is most measurable in high refresh competitive environments where low-latency mice, high-Hz displays, and optimized engines already minimize delay. For casual use, real-world differences may be smaller.
Compared to Hall Effect keyboards that use magnetic sensing for adjustable actuation, Razer’s analog optical implementation uses light-based detection. Both technologies enable dynamic actuation and rapid reset behavior, but Razer pairs its switch system with one of the highest polling rates currently available in a commercial keyboard.

Razer states that the internal structure has been redesigned with layered acoustic dampening materials to reduce resonance and create a more controlled keystroke sound profile. Each unit undergoes CNC machining, anodization, PVD finishing, polishing, and individual inspection before shipment. The company backs the keyboard with a five-year warranty, which exceeds typical coverage in the gaming peripheral segment.

With production capped at 1,337 serialized units globally, the Huntsman Signature Edition occupies a narrow space between enthusiast custom aluminum builds and tournament-focused esports keyboards. Custom boutique boards often emphasize case materials and acoustics but lack 8,000Hz polling and analog switch tuning. High-polling esports boards, on the other hand, rarely feature hand-finished aluminum construction or serialized limited runs.
Sales open February 22 at 8AM PT exclusively through Razer’s website. No additional production beyond the announced 1,337 units is planned.
