Hisense G7 Pro Monitor Packs 4K 180Hz, 360Hz Mode With 2000 Nits

Hisense is set to release the G7 Pro, a 27-inch gaming monitor that combines dual-mode refresh rates with a Mini LED backlight. It can run at 4K 180Hz for sharp visuals or switch to Full HD 360Hz for fast-paced play. The model is already listed online and will go on sale in China on May 8 at 14:00.

The panel offers two clear ways to play. In its native mode, it delivers 3840×2160 resolution at 180Hz, which suits story-driven games, video work, and general use where detail matters, matching trends in high-resolution panels like Philips Evnia 27M2G5800. Switching to the second mode drops the resolution to 1920×1080 but raises the refresh rate to 360Hz. This makes motion much smoother, especially in shooters and esports titles where quick reactions are critical.

Brightness is where this monitor stands out. The Mini LED backlight includes 1152 local dimming zones, allowing different parts of the screen to adjust light levels independently. Peak brightness reaches up to 2000 nits, which is far beyond most gaming monitors, exceeding levels found in displays similar to LG 39GX950B. Bright highlights appear stronger, while darker areas remain controlled without heavy bloom. This also improves HDR scenes, where contrast between light and dark plays a major role.

Color coverage reaches 99% of the DCI-P3 gamut. This brings richer tones for games and media, and it also helps with creative tasks like photo or video editing. Colors appear more vivid without looking oversaturated, and gradients look smoother across the panel.

Hisense adds an anti-reflective “obsidian” coating to reduce glare. This is especially useful on a high-brightness panel, where reflections can become distracting under strong lighting. The coating helps keep the image clear whether the room is dim or bright.

The stand supports height adjustment and rotation, making it easier to match different desk setups. The monitor also supports VESA mounting, so it can be placed on an arm or mounted on a wall if needed.

DisplayPort 1.4 and USB-C connectivity have been confirmed, which should cover both gaming PCs and modern laptops, as seen in devices like UGREEN Thunderbolt 5 docking stations. Full port details have not been shared yet, but the inclusion of USB-C suggests support for cleaner single-cable setups.

Dual-mode monitors have been around for a while, but most focus on refresh rate alone. This model goes further by adding much higher brightness and a larger number of dimming zones. Many 4K gaming monitors still sit around 144Hz and far lower brightness levels, while others with dual-mode panels often lack strong HDR performance. Here, both features come together in one display, which is still rare at this price.

The Hisense G7 Pro is listed at 2999 yuan, with a launch price of 2699 yuan. Sales begin on May 8 in China, and availability in other regions has not been confirmed yet.
