Rapoo’s VT9s Air MAX V2 gaming mouse goes on sale in China on August 1 for CNY 399. The new model combines a 47g body with PixArt’s PAW3955 Ultimate optical sensor and native 8,000Hz polling in both wired and 2.4GHz wireless connections, putting flagship hardware into one of the company’s lightest gaming mice.
The shell keeps a solid outer body instead of relying on a honeycomb pattern. Rapoo builds the mouse around an embedded keel frame to lower weight while keeping the body firm, and the shape is intended for people with small to medium-sized hands.
Inside the mouse are two NORDIC 54LM20 chips. They support an 8,000Hz polling rate through both USB and the 2.4GHz wireless receiver, sending position updates to the computer up to 8,000 times every second for quicker cursor response during fast mouse movement.
Movement is tracked by the PixArt PAW3955 Ultimate optical sensor. Rapoo matches it with custom optical microswitches rated for 120 million clicks and an optical scroll encoder rated for 2 million scrolls. Unlike traditional mechanical switches, the optical design works with light instead of metal contacts, reducing debounce delay while extending switch life.
VT9s Air MAX V2 comes with 300mAh battery power. Rapoo rates battery life at up to 275 hours, while a one-minute charge is enough for up to 6.5 hours of gaming when the battery runs low.

Rapoo has confirmed August 1 as the first sale date in China with a retail price of CNY 399. The company has not shared details about availability in other countries.
