GPD released an updated version of its MicroPC 2 mini laptop. The new model comes with an Intel Core 3 N350 processor from the Twin Lake family. This chip gives the small computer a slight speed boost over the older version.
The new Core 3 N350 processor has eight cores and eight threads. It can reach a maximum speed of 3.90 GHz, which is 100 MHz faster than the older Core i3-N300 chip. You can read about the new EU USB-C laptop charging rules to see how ports are changing on small portable devices.
The graphics on the new MicroPC 2 also get a small upgrade. The integrated Intel Graphics now hit a top speed of 1.35 GHz. This is another 100 MHz increase compared to the previous model.


Besides the new processor, the rest of the laptop stays the same. It still has a 7-inch touchscreen with a 1920×1080 resolution. The device also keeps its industrial ports, making it useful for network engineers and IT workers.

The updated MicroPC 2 includes 16GB of LPDDR5 memory.
