GravaStar’s Mercury K98 Pro pairs an 8,000Hz polling rate with an 8,000mAh battery, a built-in TFT display, and a CNC-machined aluminum body. The keyboard adopts a 98% layout that keeps the number pad while reducing its overall size, giving users more desk space without sacrificing essential keys.
The 98% layout keeps the function row, navigation cluster, and dedicated number pad found on full-size keyboards. For users who regularly work with spreadsheets, data entry, editing software, or creative applications, this layout delivers the familiarity of a full-size keyboard in a more compact footprint.
A CNC-machined aluminum frame forms the foundation of the keyboard. Instead of a traditional enclosed housing, the Mercury K98 Pro features an exposed structure that reveals parts of the internal frame. The design follows GravaStar’s distinctive industrial styling and gives the keyboard a look that differs from conventional gaming and office keyboards.

Beneath the frame is a gasket-mounted structure intended to create a softer typing feel. GravaStar pairs this design with its proprietary UFO Mechanical Linear switches, which are rated for up to 70 million keystrokes. The company has added multiple sound-dampening layers consisting of Poron foam, IXPE switch pads, PET film, a Poron base layer, and silicone filling to refine the typing sound and reduce unwanted vibrations.
An 8,000mAh battery give inside the keyboard. GravaStar rates it for up to 228 hours of operation with lighting disabled. When RGB effects and ambient lighting are active, battery life is estimated at around 19 to 21 hours before a recharge is needed.
The Mercury K98 Pro supports an 8,000Hz polling rate through both USB-C and 2.4GHz wireless connections. According to GravaStar, response times can reach 0.1ms in wired mode and 0.4ms in wireless mode. These figures place the keyboard among a growing group of high-speed mechanical keyboards designed for competitive gaming.

Connectivity options consist of USB-C, Bluetooth 5.4, and 2.4GHz wireless support. This allows users to switch between desktops, laptops, tablets, and other compatible devices without relying on a single connection method.
It comes with integrated display. GravaStar has fitted the Mercury K98 Pro with a 1.65-inch TFT screen capable of showing custom animations, status information, and personalized graphics. Users can manage settings through the company’s browser-based configuration platform without installing dedicated desktop software.

Lighting extends beyond standard per-key RGB effects. The keyboard features three-sided underglow illumination along with foot-halo lighting that projects light onto the desk surface. Users can customize effects, save profiles, and adjust lighting behavior through the web-based control interface.
Few keyboards combine an 8,000Hz polling rate, an integrated display, an 8,000mAh battery, and a CNC-machined aluminum frame in a 98% layout. That combination helps the Mercury K98 Pro stand out in a crowded mechanical keyboard market where many products focus on only one or two headline features.
GravaStar has opened global pre-orders for the Mercury K98 Pro at $259. The company expects shipments to begin on July 15 and plans to offer the keyboard in more than 50 countries through its international distribution network.
