System76’s Lemur Pro is now available with Intel Core Ultra “Panther Lake” processors and a new 16-inch display option. Prices start at $1,923, and the first orders are scheduled to ship in mid-July. Buyers can choose Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, or Ubuntu 26.04 LTS when configuring the laptop.
The Lemur Pro is now offered in two sizes. The 14-inch model features a 1920 × 1200 display, while the new 16-inch version steps up to 2560 × 1600. Both panels have a 16:10 aspect ratio, a matte finish, wide viewing angles, and 100% sRGB color coverage.
The entry configuration comes with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325 processor. It features eight CPU cores, boost speeds of up to 4.5GHz, Intel Graphics, and up to 47 TOPS of NPU performance. Buyers looking for higher performance can choose the Core Ultra X7 358H, which offers 16 CPU cores, boost speeds of up to 4.8GHz, Intel Arc B390 graphics, and up to 50 TOPS through its integrated NPU.
Every configuration ships with 32GB of LPDDR5X-7467 memory. Storage starts with a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, while 2TB and 4TB upgrades are available. According to System76, the optional 4TB SSD delivers sequential read speeds of up to 7,450MB/s and write speeds of up to 6,900MB/s.
The 14-inch model weighs 2.2 pounds (998 grams), while the 16-inch version weighs 2.96 pounds (1.34kg). Both models carry a 73Wh battery, and System76 rates battery life at up to 18 hours, depending on usage. Charging is provided through a 65W USB-C adapter.
The laptop offers Thunderbolt 4 with Power Delivery, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with Power Delivery, USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headset jack. Wireless connectivity consists of Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.
Other hardware includes a multitouch clickpad, backlit US QWERTY keyboard, 2MP Full HD webcam, stereo speakers, and a 180-degree hinge that allows the display to open flat. A Kensington lock slot is built into the chassis for physical security.
Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS with the COSMIC desktop environment is the default operating system. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS are available during configuration. The laptop can run Microsoft Windows if users choose to install it separately.
System76 offers three standard configurations. The 14-inch Core Ultra 5 325 model starts at $1,923, the 14-inch Core Ultra X7 358H version starts at $2,222, and the 16-inch Core Ultra X7 358H model starts at $2,282. Orders are open now, with shipping expected to begin in mid-July.
