Lenovo Releases GeekPro gaming Desktop Mobile Core 7-245HX With RTX 5060 for $1,470

Lenovo is selling a new GeekPro gaming desktop in China with a hardware combination that is rarely seen in pre-built PCs. The machine pairs Intel’s mobile Core 7-245HX processor with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 desktop graphics card, giving buyers notebook-class CPU hardware alongside a full desktop GPU. The configuration is priced at 9,999 yuan (around $1,470 / €1,290) and is currently listed through Lenovo’s official online store in China.

Gaming desktops almost always rely on socketed desktop processors, making CPU upgrades possible later. The GeekPro follows a different path. Intel’s Core 7-245HX is permanently attached to the motherboard, so replacing the processor is not an option. Memory, storage, and the graphics card remain upgradeable, allowing owners to improve several parts of the PC without replacing the entire motherboard.

The Core 7-245HX belongs to Intel’s latest Core 200 HX family and carries 14 CPU cores with boost speeds reaching 5.1GHz. Although the chip was originally developed for gaming laptops and mobile workstations, its performance makes it suitable for desktop gaming, programming, video editing, content creation, and demanding multitasking.

Pairing the mobile processor with NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5060 gives the GeekPro desktop access to current graphics features such as ray tracing, DLSS, and AI-assisted rendering. The RTX 5060 desktop card delivers much stronger graphics performance than integrated graphics while remaining replaceable in the future if owners decide to upgrade to another compatible GPU.

This arrives as a ready-to-use gaming desktop with Windows 11 Home. The desktop ships with 16GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD. Lenovo has left room for future storage expansion through a second M.2 slot, making it easy to install another SSD for games, creative projects, or large media libraries without removing the factory drive.

Unlike the processor, the memory can be upgraded later, giving buyers more flexibility as software requirements grow. The graphics card is replaceable as well, provided the new card fits inside the chassis and stays within the limits of the bundled 400W power supply. This approach keeps the desktop easier to upgrade than many compact PCs that rely heavily on soldered components.

The chassis keeps a practical selection of front ports for daily use. Buyers get a USB Type-C port, two USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack on the front panel for quick access. Around the back are two USB 2.0 ports, two additional USB Type-A ports, Gigabit Ethernet, audio connections, and display outputs connected directly to the GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card.

Lenovo has redesigned the internal airflow for this GeekPro configuration to help maintain stable temperatures during extended gaming sessions and heavier workloads. The desktop is backed by a three-year limited warranty with onsite service for customers in China, giving buyers longer coverage than many entry-level gaming desktops.

The decision to install a notebook-class HX processor inside a desktop allows Lenovo to build a smaller motherboard while keeping high clock speeds and multi-core performance. This design has become more common among compact gaming PCs, although it remains uncommon in mainstream desktop towers from large manufacturers.

Lenovo has not announced availability outside China. Even so, the GeekPro stands apart from conventional gaming desktops by combining Intel’s mobile Core 7-245HX with NVIDIA’s desktop RTX 5060 graphics, giving buyers a different option from the traditional socketed desktop PC.
