Lenovo Lecoo Air 14 LNL Arrives With Lunar Lake and 2.8K 120Hz Display

Lenovo’s Lecoo Air 14 LNL pairs Intel’s Core Ultra 5 228V “Lunar Lake” processor with a 14-inch 2.8K 120Hz display and an 80Wh battery while keeping the notebook under 1.18kg. The new model made its first public showing at BW2026 in China alongside an updated Lecoo Air 16, giving Lenovo’s budget-focused Lecoo lineup a noticeable hardware update.

Compared with the original Lecoo Air 14 introduced earlier this year, nearly every important part has changed. The processor moves from Intel’s Core 5 315 to the newer Core Ultra 5 228V, the display gains a higher resolution and refresh rate, battery capacity grows significantly, and the chassis remains thin and lightweight despite the larger battery.

The Core Ultra 5 228V is based on Intel’s Lunar Lake platform and comes with Intel Arc integrated graphics and an integrated NPU for Windows AI features. The newer processor replaces the entry-level chip found in the previous Air 14 and is paired with hardware aimed at everyday productivity, media work, and portable computing.

The display receives one of the biggest upgrades. Lenovo replaces the previous 1920 × 1200 60Hz panel with a 14-inch screen offering a 2880 × 1800 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness rated at 450 nits. The higher resolution produces sharper text and images, while the faster refresh rate makes scrolling, document navigation, and everyday desktop use feel smoother.

Battery capacity increases from 50Wh to 80Wh, a jump of around 60 percent over the earlier model. Lenovo estimates up to 21 hours of office use under its internal testing conditions. The notebook ships with a compact 65W GaN charger, making it easier to carry than many traditional laptop adapters.

Even with the larger battery, the notebook weighs less than 2.6 lbs (1.18kg) and measures only 14.98mm thick. The all-alloy chassis keeps the laptop easy to carry for work, school, or travel without adding much extra bulk.

The keyboard features 1.5mm key travel and three levels of backlight adjustment. Facial recognition supports Windows Hello sign-in, allowing users to unlock the notebook without entering a password. Lenovo ships the laptop with Windows 11 Home Chinese Edition pre-installed.

Lenovo introduced an updated Lecoo Air 16 during the same BW2026 presentation, although the company has not shared detailed specifications for the larger notebook yet.
