ASUS is making the Chromebook CM15 and Chromebook CM32 Detachable available in the United States with MediaTek’s Kompanio 540 processor, ChromeOS, and battery life rated for up to 12 hours. Both models come with a three-month Google AI Pro membership, giving eligible buyers access to Gemini, NotebookLM, Veo, Nano Banana, and 5TB of Google cloud storage.
The Chromebook CM15 features a 15.6-inch Full HD anti-glare display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080 and brightness rated at 300 nits. Buyers can choose between 4GB or 8GB of LPDDR5X memory, along with 64GB or 128GB of eMMC storage. ARM Mali-G57 MC2 graphics work alongside the Kompanio 540 processor for web applications, document editing, video streaming, and daily computing.
A 180-degree hinge allows the display to fold flat, making screen sharing more convenient. The USB ports are placed on the upper-left side of the laptop, giving users more room for a mouse. Other features include a webcam privacy shutter, a Kensington Nano Security Slot, and MIL-STD-810H durability certification.
ASUS has given the CM15 a more sustainable design. Around 30% of the plastic material comes from recycled sources, several internal components are easier to replace, and the packaging is produced with recyclable materials.
The Chromebook CM32 Detachable follows a different design with a 12.1-inch touchscreen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The panel delivers a resolution of 2560 × 1600, a 120Hz refresh rate, and brightness of up to 600 nits. A magnetic kickstand and detachable keyboard are supplied, while selected versions come with a stylus for handwriting and sketching.
Inside, the detachable model carries the same MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 128GB of eMMC storage. The tablet weighs only 640g (1.41 pounds). A 5MP front camera supports video calls, while another 5MP camera on the rear captures documents and photos. Dolby Atmos speakers are built into the device for media playback and online meetings.
Eligible buyers receive three months of Google AI Pro. The subscription provides access to Gemini, NotebookLM, Veo, Nano Banana, Google Workspace AI features, and 5TB of cloud storage. ChromeOS continues to receive automatic updates with built-in security protection.

The CM15 comes with two USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 ports, one USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, HDMI 1.4, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, and a 720p webcam. The CM32 Detachable offers a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, a pogo-pin connector for the detachable keyboard, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Both devices carry a 42Wh battery and come with a 45W USB-C charger.
The Chromebook CM15 is available through Amazon. The entry configuration with 4GB of memory and 64GB of storage costs $269.99, while the version with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage is listed at $309.99. The Chromebook CM32 Detachable with 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage is available from Best Buy for $579. ASUS plans to offer a 4GB and 64GB version through Walmart during the third quarter of 2026.
