Microsoft has launched a limited-time promotion that includes a free pair of Sony WH-1000XM6 wireless headphones with the purchase of select Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models through the Microsoft Store. The offer is available in the contiguous United States through July 31, 2026, while promotional stock lasts.
The promotion applies to specific configurations of the Surface Pro 13-inch (12th Edition), Surface Laptop 13.8-inch (8th Edition), and Surface Laptop 15-inch (8th Edition). Prices start at $1,999.99 for participating Surface Laptop models and $2,099.99 for qualifying Surface Pro configurations.
After completing a purchase, customers will not receive the headphones with their Surface device. Instead, Microsoft sends a redemption code to the email address used for the order within seven business days. The code must be redeemed through Sony’s website by December 31, 2026, after which Sony ships the headphones directly to the customer’s address. Microsoft also limits the promotion to one redemption per household.
Microsoft says the offer is designed to highlight Bluetooth LE Audio support available on Snapdragon X2-powered Surface devices. When paired with the Sony WH-1000XM6, compatible Windows 11 systems can use Bluetooth LE Audio features such as Super Wideband voice calls, Low Latency mode, and Shared Audio, which allows audio to be streamed to supported Bluetooth LE Audio devices.
The bundled Sony WH-1000XM6 headphones are listed at $459.99 as part of the promotion. Microsoft is also offering an additional 10% education discount for eligible students, which can further reduce the price of participating Surface devices.
The promotion is available exclusively through the Microsoft Store and ends on July 31, 2026, unless the available redemption inventory is exhausted earlier. Microsoft has not announced whether the offer will be extended beyond the current promotion or introduced in other regions.
