MSI Launches MAG 274QPF X32 and MAG 325CQPF E18 With WQHD Displays

MSI’s MAG lineup is growing with two new WQHD gaming monitors built for different styles of play. The MAG 274QPF X32 packs a 27-inch Rapid IPS panel with a 320Hz refresh rate, while the MAG 325CQPF E18 pairs a 31.5-inch Rapid VA panel with a 1000R curve and a 180Hz refresh rate. Both reach stores in Japan on July 24.

Both displays run at a resolution of 2560 × 1440 with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a quoted 0.5ms GtG response time. From there, the hardware takes two different paths. The smaller model puts refresh rate first, while the larger display leans toward contrast and screen size.

The MAG 274QPF X32 carries a Rapid IPS panel with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification. A 320Hz refresh rate leaves plenty of room for high frame-rate gaming in titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, and Apex Legends.

MSI has added a dedicated 24.5-inch display mode for players who prefer a smaller viewing area. The monitor keeps its native 320Hz refresh rate while displaying games in a Full HD-sized window. This option mirrors the screen size many competitive players already prefer.

Adaptive refresh works with both NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards through G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certification. AI Vision brightens darker parts of the image and increases color saturation, while Night Vision improves visibility in shadow-heavy scenes.

Color performance goes beyond typical esports displays. MSI rates the panel at 97% DCI-P3, 95% Adobe RGB, and 129% sRGB. Support for 1.07 billion colors comes through an 8-bit + FRC panel, making the display suitable for editing photos, creating videos, and graphic design alongside gaming.

The MAG 325CQPF E18 moves in a different direction with a 31.5-inch Rapid VA panel and a pronounced 1000R curve. Refresh rate drops to 180Hz, but the curved screen stretches farther across the user’s field of view during racing games, open-world adventures, simulators, and movies.

Its native 3500:1 contrast ratio is more than three times higher than the IPS model, producing darker blacks and brighter highlights in scenes with heavy shadow detail. The display covers 85% DCI-P3 and 111% sRGB while supporting 1.07 billion colors. HDR Ready certification, Picture-in-Picture, and Picture-by-Picture allow two video sources to appear on the screen at the same time.

Both displays feature an anti-glare coating and wide 178-degree viewing angles. MSI lists HDMI CEC support on both models, while KVM functionality is absent.

Port selection changes between the two displays. The MAG 274QPF X32 carries two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4a, and a headphone output. Both HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort support the full WQHD resolution at up to 320Hz.

The MAG 325CQPF E18 pairs DisplayPort 1.4a with two HDMI 2.0b ports and a headphone output. DisplayPort reaches WQHD at up to 180Hz, while HDMI tops out at 144Hz at the same resolution.

Stand adjustment differs between the two models. The 27-inch display offers 130mm of height adjustment together with tilt, swivel, and full 90-degree pivot rotation. The curved model offers 100mm of height adjustment plus tilt and swivel, while portrait rotation is absent because of the curved panel. Both monitors support standard 100 × 100mm VESA mounting.

MSI has set estimated prices at around $309 for the MAG 274QPF X32 and $289 for the MAG 325CQPF E18. Both gaming monitors reach retailers in Japan on July 24.
