AMD Radeon RX 9050 Challenger is now featured on ASRock’s website in two versions, one with 4GB of GDDR6 memory and another with 8GB. The product pages provide the first full hardware details for AMD’s new entry-level RDNA 4 desktop graphics card, including clock speeds, memory, display ports, and power requirements.
The graphics card has 16 Compute Units and 1,024 stream processors. Earlier reports mentioned a larger chip, but the ASRock pages point to a different specification. The game clock reaches 1,920MHz and the boost clock goes up to 2,600MHz.
RDNA 4 graphics, third-generation ray tracing, and second-generation AI acceleration are available on both models. The RX 9050 sits below the Radeon RX 9060 XT with half the Compute Units and half the stream processors.
Memory is the only change between the two cards. The 8GB model comes with a 128-bit memory bus and 288GB/s of bandwidth. The 4GB version has a 64-bit memory bus with 144GB/s of bandwidth. Everything else stays the same.



ASRock gives the RX 9050 Challenger a dual-fan cooler in a dual-slot design. The card measures 249 × 132 × 41mm. Power comes from a single 8-pin PCIe connector, and ASRock recommends a 450W power supply. There are two DisplayPort 2.1a connectors and one HDMI 2.1b connector. The board power has not been shared yet.

The 4GB model is uncommon for a new desktop graphics card in 2026. ASRock lists both versions on its website, while the 4GB card has already been spotted in an OEM desktop PC.
ASRock states that availability will depend on the region. AMD has not published pricing or its own Radeon RX 9050 product page yet.
