AAEON is selling a new fanless embedded computer called the BOXER-6839-RPL that supports multi-generation Intel Core desktop processors. The industrial PC accommodates 12th, 13th, and 14th Generation Intel Core CPUs using an LGA 1700 socket. This design allows industrial builders to choose from a wide range of desktop processors depending on their computing needs.

The computer includes two SODIMM slots that support up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 memory. For storage, the chassis has two 2.5-inch SATA drive bays and an M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 slot for NVMe drives. The expansion options differ by SKU, with the A1 model offering two PCIe slots and the A2 model pairing one PCIe x4 slot with a legacy PCI slot.
These slots can accommodate expansion cards up to 160 mm × 105 mm (6.3 × 4.1 inches) in the upper position and 170 mm × 105 mm (6.7 × 4.1 inches) in the lower position. In addition to these slots, the motherboard includes M.2 slots for Wi-Fi and LTE/5G wireless modules. This modular layout aims to help builders customize the hardware for machine vision and industrial control tasks.
The PC has six serial ports, eight USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, and four Ethernet ports. The rugged chassis supports a wide DC input range from 12V to 24V and can operate in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 131°F (-20°C to 50°C). It also has high vibration and shock resistance to protect the internal components in factory settings.
AAEON supports multiple operating systems for this PC, including Windows 10 IoT LTSC, Windows 11 IoT LTSC, and Linux Ubuntu.
