Alienware 27-inch QD-OLED Gaming Monitor Launches at $349 with 240Hz Refresh Rate

Alienware has introduced the AW2726DM, a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor priced at $349.99 in the US. The model is already available and marks one of the lowest entry points for QD-OLED displays in this size segment.

The monitor uses a 2560 × 1440 panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. A 0.03ms gray-to-gray response time is listed, keeping motion handling in line with higher-end OLED models. Adaptive sync support includes AMD FreeSync Premium and VESA AdaptiveSync.

Color performance follows typical QD-OLED characteristics, with 99% DCI-P3 coverage and 10-bit color support. Contrast remains effectively unlimited due to the self-emissive panel structure.

Brightness is rated at 200 nits for standard use. HDR support is included, though peak brightness remains lower than most OLED competitors. This is one of the main trade-offs behind the lower price.

Connectivity includes DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Full 240Hz output is supported over DisplayPort, while HDMI is limited to 120Hz at 1440p. A 3.5mm headphone jack is also included.

The design is more restrained compared to earlier Alienware models. There is no RGB lighting, but the stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments.

Dell includes a 3-year warranty with burn-in coverage. A graphite-based heat layer is used inside the panel to help manage long-term wear.

Compared to previous 27-inch QD-OLED models that launched above $500, the AW2726DM focuses on price reduction, including models like the AOC 34-inch 360Hz Tandem OLED monitor. The lower brightness, lack of USB ports, and absence of built-in speakers are the main differences.

The AW2726DM enters the market as a lower-cost OLED option, bringing 240Hz gaming performance closer to mainstream pricing alongside high refresh displays like the Philips Evnia 27M2G5800 monitor.
