AMD has quietly added a new low-power variant of its Radeon RX 9060 XT desktop graphics card to official regional listings, indicating an active launch without any formal press announcement.
The new model, branded as the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP (Low Power), maintains the full 16GB GDDR6 memory configuration while operating at a lower power target.
The RX 9060 XT LP is based on the same Navi 44 XT GPU as the standard RX 9060 XT and appears functionally identical in core hardware, with power tuning being the primary difference.
Core Specifications Remain Identical to the Standard RX 9060 XT
Architecturally, the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP is identical to the existing 16GB RX 9060 XT. The GPU features 32 compute units, 2,048 stream processors, 32 third-generation ray accelerators, and 64 second-generation AI accelerators. Memory specifications remain unchanged, with 16GB of GDDR6 operating on a 128-bit interface and delivering up to 320 GB/s of bandwidth.
Support for modern platform features is also retained, including PCI Express 5.0 x16, DisplayPort 2.1a, HDMI 2.1b, and full AV1 encode and decode functionality.
Power Reduction is the Key Change
The main difference between the RX 9060 XT LP and the standard RX 9060 XT lies in power consumption. While AMD has not published an official Typical Board Power (TBP) figure for the LP variant, several regional listings and industry reports indicate a 140W board power rating, compared to 160W for the standard RX 9060 XT. Despite the lower power target, AMD still recommends a 450W power supply, and the card features a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, suggesting drop-in compatibility with existing mainstream desktop systems and OEM configurations.

Slightly Lower Peak Compute Throughput Listed
AMD has not disclosed the clock speed specifications for the RX 9060 XT LP. However, according to official performance figures, the peak FP32 compute throughput is approximately 25 TFLOPs, slightly lower than the standard RX 9060 XT’s 25.6 TFLOPs rating.
This reduction implies slightly lower boost frequencies, with estimated peak clocks around 3.05 GHz, compared to up to 3.13 GHz for the full-power variant. AMD has not released specific performance benchmarks for the LP model, and the real-world performance difference remains to be seen.

Full RDNA 4 Feature Set Retained
Aside from power tuning, the RX 9060 XT LP retains the full RDNA 4 desktop feature stack. Software support includes AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, FSR 4, AMD Fluid Motion Frames, and Radeon Anti-Lag 2, aligning it feature-for-feature with AMD’s standard RX 9000-series desktop offerings.
Regional Positioning Suggests OEM and Efficiency Focus
Current indications suggest that the Radeon RX 9060 XT LP is being positioned as a region-specific SKU, with initial availability focused on China. This launch aligns with AMD’s recent strategy of introducing power-optimized variants for specific markets, particularly those emphasizing OEM systems, energy efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Pricing and widespread global availability have not been announced, and AMD has not indicated whether the low-power variant will be released beyond its initial regional rollout.
