AMD’s unreleased Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 has surfaced on eBay ahead of launch, with one seller briefly listing the upcoming 16-core flagship processor before its official April 22 release, following earlier reports surrounding the chip’s market debut.
The listing showed the chip priced at US $711.99, placing it nearly $187 below AMD’s official $899 MSRP, undercutting AMD’s previously announced launch pricing. That makes the early listing notably cheaper than AMD’s launch pricing, although the reason for the discount remains unclear.

The eBay page has since been removed, and no completed sale was recorded through the platform. However, buyers may have contacted the seller privately before the listing disappeared.
Photos showed the processor packaged in a plastic tray rather than standard retail boxing, suggesting it may be an OEM or tray unit originally intended for system integrators instead of retail channels.
AMD positions the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 as its flagship enthusiast desktop CPU and the first desktop processor built with Dual AMD 3D V-Cache technology, expanding on the company’s Ryzen X3D lineup. It features 16 Zen 5 cores, 32 threads, and 208MB of total cache.
Official specifications list a 4.3GHz base clock and boost speeds up to 5.6GHz, alongside a 200W TDP. AMD recommends liquid cooling for the processor due to its high power target.
Like other Ryzen 9000 desktop processors, the chip uses the AM5 socket and supports DDR5 memory, PCIe 5.0, Precision Boost Overdrive, and Curve Optimizer. Integrated Radeon graphics are also included with two graphics cores clocked at up to 2200 MHz.
AMD is scheduled to officially launch the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 on April 22, while preorder package have already appeared in some regions ahead of the global release, including recent retail leaks from overseas markets.
