Angry Miao has officially released its latest high-end keyboard, the Battleye R2, featuring advanced magnetic switches and a unique custom layout. The premium keyboard is currently listed on JD.com, with sales scheduled to officially open on May 28. It represents a bold design direction that prioritizes rapid hardware configuration for competitive gamers.

The Angry Miao Battleye R2 features a compact 74.5-key layout, magnetic switches, and a circular LCD display.

The Battleye R2 introduces a custom “74.5-key” layout, which cuts off the standard right-side cluster of a 75% keyboard while retaining the complete row of top F-keys. In the upper-left corner, Angry Miao has integrated a 1.7-inch round LCD screen capable of displaying custom graphics, system telemetry, or user-selected GIFs. The keyboard also features an ultra-fast magnetic switch onboard driver, allowing you to swap between custom performance profiles in just 0.97 seconds.

Angry Miao offers the Battleye R2 in two distinct chassis finishes: Carbon Silver and Damask steel patterns. Each version comes paired with black or white matte polycarbonate (PC) keycaps for a soft, diffused lighting effect. Underneath the keycaps sit custom-designed AngryMiao Ver. magnetic switches, which feature a 3.5mm total travel distance, a light 35g actuation force, and a 45g bottom-out weight.

To deliver a deep, satisfying acoustic profile, the keyboard utilizes a premium six-layer internal dampening structure. This setup features a rigid carbon fiber positioning plate, a custom PCBA, Poron core foam, under-switch IXPE pads, under-switch PET static sheets, and a thick EPDM base foam. This dense internal layout eliminates hollow pinging noises and provides a refined typing feel, drawing visual comparisons to high-end design showcases like the IQUNIX Ghost in the Shell EV63.

This focus on structural acoustics and rapid magnetic switch actuation makes the Battleye R2 highly competitive against modern gaming alternatives like the Flydigi FS68 magnetic keyboard, offering enthusiasts a superior blend of style and speed.

Interested mechanical keyboard collectors and competitive players can place their orders through JD.com. Shipping to global buyers is expected to begin shortly after the domestic release window closes.
