Dual cameras are rarely found on business laptops, but ASUS is taking a different approach with the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2. The new 14-inch convertible notebook combines a 360-degree hinge, a built-in stylus, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and enterprise-grade security in a lightweight aluminum chassis weighing just 1.34kg (2.95 lbs) and measuring 14.9mm thick.
A 1080p FHD+IR webcam sits above the display for video meetings and online collaboration. ASUS pairs it with a dedicated 5MP world-facing camera positioned for tablet and tent modes. The additional camera can capture documents, handwritten notes, whiteboards, project materials, and classroom content directly from the notebook without reaching for a smartphone or separate camera. Physical privacy shutters are fitted to both cameras.
The 360-degree hinge allows the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 to switch between laptop, tablet, tent, and presentation modes. An MPP 2.0 stylus is stored inside the chassis and charges while docked. ASUS states that a 15-second charge can provide up to 60 minutes of writing time, making the pen ready for quick note-taking sessions, annotations, signatures, and sketches throughout the workday.
Despite its slim profile, the notebook carries a full selection of ports. Dual Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports sit alongside HDMI 2.1, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, and a Kensington Nano security slot. Users moving between meeting rooms, classrooms, and office desks can connect displays, accessories, and storage devices without relying heavily on adapters.
The laptop is powered by Intel Core 7 Series 3 processors paired with Intel Graphics. ASUS highlights an integrated NPU capable of delivering up to 18 TOPS for AI-assisted workloads. The notebook supports up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of PCIe 4.0 SSD storage. A 63Wh battery and fast-charging support round out the hardware package.
The 14-inch touchscreen features a 16:10 aspect ratio, 400 nits of brightness, and an 84% screen-to-body ratio. Compared with traditional 16:9 business notebooks, the taller display provides additional vertical space for spreadsheets, documents, presentations, research materials, and web applications. ASUS has equipped the panel with TÜV Rheinland-certified eye-care technology for extended viewing comfort.
Wi-Fi 7 support arrives alongside dual-array microphones, dual speakers, Smart Amplifier technology, and ASUS AI noise-canceling audio. These features help improve voice clarity during conference calls, virtual meetings, and online learning sessions.
The notebook come with its ExpertGuardian security platform. Protection features include a NIST SP 800-193-compliant BIOS, Windows 11 Secured-core technologies, TPM 2.0 encryption, FIDO2 authentication, dual BIOS protection, chassis intrusion detection, and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button. ASUS states that security updates will be provided for up to five years.
The ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 meets MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability requirements and features reinforced hinges, strengthened I/O ports, and a spill-resistant keyboard. ASUS is pairing the notebook with up to five years of international warranty coverage, targeting organizations looking for longer deployment cycles and reduced maintenance concerns.
ASUS has incorporated several sustainability certifications into the device, including EPEAT Gold Climate+, Energy Star 9.0, and TCO 10. FSC-certified recycled materials are used throughout its construction as part of the company’s broader environmental initiatives.
Rather than relying on processor upgrades alone, the ExpertBook B5 Flip G2 combines a convertible design, integrated stylus, dual-camera setup, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, and enterprise-level protection in a single package. Pricing and regional availability details have not yet been announced.
