ASUS ROG Introduced Raikiri II Pro Controller With 8K Polling and TMR Joysticks

The ROG Raikiri II Pro expands Asus’ PC gaming controller lineup with an 8,000Hz polling rate, hot-swappable TMR joystick modules, Dual Mode Triggers, and support for wired USB-C, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth connectivity. The controller includes a built-in full-color display, up to 79 hours of battery life, and multiple accessories for hardware customization. Asus has not confirmed pricing or regional availability.

The controller supports both 1,000Hz and 8,000Hz polling on PC. Wireless communication runs through ROG SpeedNova technology, while wired USB-C and Bluetooth provide additional connection options. The D-pad, ABXY buttons, rear buttons, and bumpers all use micro switches for consistent actuation and tactile feedback.

Dual Mode Triggers allow users to switch between two trigger styles without changing hardware. One mode activates short-travel micro-switch triggers, while the second changes to full-travel TMR sensor triggers. The trigger mode can be selected according to different game genres.

Hot-swappable TMR joystick modules are another highlight. Asus supplies two sets in the box, including a standard 120gf version and a lighter 50gf version. According to the company, the TMR modules provide anti-drift performance while consuming less power than conventional analog sticks. A dedicated removal tool lets users replace the modules without opening the controller.

Customization extends beyond the joysticks. Four removable rear buttons, two additional claw bumpers, and the four face buttons can all be remapped. The controller stores up to five onboard profiles, making it easy to switch between different control layouts. Button mapping can be adjusted directly on the controller or through ASUS Gear Link software.

A built-in full-color display gives access to button remapping, joystick calibration, vibration intensity, lighting effects, brightness adjustment, and profile selection. ASUS Gear Link provides additional settings such as joystick sensitivity and Turbo Mode, which repeatedly activates a selected button while it remains pressed. Aura Sync lighting is configured through Armoury Crate.

Battery life is rated at up to 79 hours during 2.4GHz wireless operation. Asus measured this figure with RGB lighting, vibration, and the built-in display turned off while operating at a 1,000Hz polling rate. Battery life will vary depending on the selected settings and polling rate.

The package includes a protective charging case, a charging stand with feet, four rear button cover plates, a joystick module removal tool, two additional TMR joystick modules, and two detachable joystick caps. The controller measures 155 × 105 × 65 mm and weighs 270 grams.

Asus has not announced pricing or availability for individual markets.
