ASUS now offers a new ROG Zephyrus G16 configuration in the United States featuring Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU and 64GB of LPDDR5X memory. The new version replaces the RTX 5070 Ti model as the most powerful ROG Zephyrus G16 currently available in the lineup.
The upgrade centers on graphics hardware and memory capacity. Earlier configurations topped out with an RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU paired with 32GB of memory. The latest model doubles memory capacity and moves to Nvidia’s higher-tier RTX 5080 Laptop GPU.
ASUS allows the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU to operate at up to 150W in Turbo Mode and as much as 160W in Manual Mode. Dynamic Boost can contribute up to 25W when additional graphics performance is required. The previous RTX 5070 Ti version operated with a lower graphics power budget, giving the new model a noticeable advantage in demanding workloads.

The larger memory pool provides additional headroom for high-resolution gaming, texture-heavy titles, 3D rendering, video production, and professional creative workloads.
The laptop is powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 386H processor. The chip features 16 cores and an integrated NPU rated at more than 50 TOPS, qualifying the notebook for Microsoft’s Copilot+ PC category.
A 16-inch OLED ROG Nebula HDR display delivers a 2560 × 1600 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Nvidia G-SYNC support is present for variable refresh rate gaming, helping maintain smoother frame delivery during gameplay.
Memory is 64GB of LPDDR5X, while storage consists of a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD. The onboard memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded after purchase, making the factory-equipped 64GB configuration particularly important for users planning long-term ownership.
The notebook retains its CNC-milled aluminum chassis. Despite the more powerful graphics hardware, the Zephyrus G16 continues to target users who want flagship-level components in a thinner design than many conventional gaming laptops.

Cooling hardware consists of liquid metal thermal compound, revised heatpipe routing, and an updated exhaust layout designed to support the higher-powered RTX 5080 configuration. These changes allow the notebook to sustain higher graphics power levels within the existing chassis.
Connectivity consists of Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, USB Type-A, HDMI 2.1 FRL, a UHS-II SD card reader, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 1080p infrared camera compatible with Windows Hello facial authentication.
Audio comes through a Dolby Atmos speaker array, while ASUS’ Slash Lighting feature remains integrated into the lid. The latest implementation supports 35 independently controlled lighting zones, allowing more detailed lighting effects than earlier Zephyrus models.
The new configuration carries an MSRP of $4,799 in the United States. Compared with the RTX 5070 Ti version, buyers receive an RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, 16GB of GDDR7 graphics memory, 64GB of LPDDR5X memory, and graphics power reaching up to 160W.
