ASUS’s ZenScreen MQ16FC combines a 16-inch OLED panel with a clean one-cable USB-C setup, focusing on strong image quality and easy portability for work on the go. The monitor is now available in parts of Europe at €299.90, placing it in the mid-range portable display category.
The screen features a 16-inch OLED panel with a 1920 × 1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, a format used in ASUS Zenbook A14. That extra vertical space makes a real difference for tasks like coding, writing, and browsing compared to standard 16:9 panels. Color coverage reaches 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut with Delta E below 2, giving accurate and consistent colors for creative work.
OLED is the main highlight here, a panel technology used in displays such as the AOC AGON Pro AG326UZD2. The panel delivers deep blacks and extremely high contrast, which makes images look richer than typical IPS portable monitors. Brightness is rated around 300 nits, but contrast helps the display feel more vivid in real use. A 1 ms response time keeps motion clean, even though the refresh rate stays at 60Hz.
One of the most useful features is USB-C power pass-through, a capability expanded further in devices such as the UGREEN Maxidok Thunderbolt 5 docking station. A single cable can carry both display signal and power while also charging a connected laptop with up to 65W. This keeps the setup simple and reduces the need for extra cables, which is important for portable workspaces.
Connectivity includes two USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode, one mini HDMI port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. This covers both newer laptops and older devices without USB-C video output, while still allowing audio connections when needed.

The monitor also supports automatic screen rotation through ASUS DisplayWidget Center, allowing quick switching between landscape and portrait modes, a feature found in displays such as the ASUS ProArt PA32USD. TÜV-certified low blue light and flicker-free features are included to make long sessions more comfortable on the eyes.
Portability is a strong point. The ZenScreen MQ16FC weighs about 0.68 kg (1.50 lbs) and stays under 1 cm thick. A built-in kickstand and tripod socket make it easy to adjust positioning in different setups, whether on a desk or while traveling.
Power consumption is rated at just 4.7W, which is lower than many IPS-based portable monitors. This helps extend battery life when connected to a laptop without external power.

Compared to other portable monitors in this price range, most rely on IPS panels with lower contrast and narrower color coverage. Some models push higher refresh rates or brightness, but often at the cost of color accuracy. This model focuses on OLED contrast, accurate color, and simple connectivity rather than gaming-focused features.
The ZenScreen MQ16FC is currently available in Europe at €299.90, roughly $350 depending on region. A wider rollout is expected in other markets soon.
