Gainward RTX 3060 Python II OC Debuts With 12GB GDDR6

Gainward’s GeForce RTX 3060 Python II OC gives the long-running Ampere graphics card a fresh design with a factory overclock, 12GB of GDDR6 memory, and a newly developed dual-fan cooler. The refreshed model follows NVIDIA’s decision to resume RTX 3060 production, allowing board partners to introduce updated versions of a GPU that continues to attract mainstream PC builders.

The card ships with a boost clock of 1,792MHz while keeping NVIDIA’s GA106 GPU. Its 12GB of GDDR6 memory runs across a 192-bit interface at 15Gbps, delivering up to 360GB/s of memory bandwidth. The larger VRAM capacity remains a practical advantage for newer games with high-resolution texture packs, creative applications, and workloads that require more graphics memory than many 8GB alternatives can provide.

Cooling comes from two reinforced fans, composite heat pipes, a copper base, and an optimized heatsink. During lighter tasks, Zero RPM technology keeps both fans completely stopped, reducing noise until additional cooling is needed.

A full-length metal backplate adds structural support while ventilation openings improve airflow through the heatsink. The shroud carries Gainward’s Python-inspired scale pattern, giving the model a different look from the company’s Phantom and Ghost graphics card families.

Despite the upgraded cooler, the dimensions remain compact at 247.3 × 111.9 × 40.8mm with a two-slot design. Power is supplied through a single 8-pin PCIe connector, making installation straightforward for many existing desktop PCs and power supplies.

Display outputs consist of three DisplayPort 1.4a connectors and one HDMI 2.1a port. The PCIe 4.0 x16 interface supports current desktop platforms, while multiple display outputs allow high-refresh gaming monitors and multi-monitor workstations.

NVIDIA technologies such as DLSS, hardware ray tracing, Reflex, Studio, Broadcast, ShadowPlay, Ansel, GeForce Experience, DirectX 12 Ultimate, and G-SYNC compatibility are all supported. These features continue to support modern games, livestreaming, video editing, 3D creation, and other GPU-accelerated software.

According to Valve’s latest Steam Hardware Survey, the GeForce RTX 3060 remains among the most widely used desktop graphics cards. That continued popularity has encouraged manufacturers to offer refreshed models with updated cooling and new designs while keeping the familiar hardware platform.

Gainward has confirmed the specifications of the GeForce RTX 3060 Python II OC. Pricing, regional availability, and the release schedule have not yet been announced.
