GIGABYTE recently showed off its new external graphics cards at COMPUTEX 2026. The new AORUS GeForce RTX 50 Series AI BOX lineup is designed to give thin laptops the power of a full desktop computer.
The collection includes two different models aimed at gamers and creators. These external boxes connect to a laptop and provide massive upgrades for playing games or running heavy AI software.

The flagship AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 AI BOX is the most expensive option. It comes with 32GB of VRAM and delivers over 3,000 AI TOPS of computing power. To keep this fast card cool, GIGABYTE uses a WATERFORCE liquid cooling system with a 240mm radiator and two 120mm fans.
For users who want a smaller option, the AORUS GeForce RTX 5060 Ti AI BOX offers a lightweight design with 16GB of VRAM. This model uses a standard WINDFORCE air cooling system and is great for 1080p or 2K gaming.
Both models connect to your laptop using a fast Thunderbolt 5 cable. They also include extra ports for Ethernet, USB devices, and up to four monitor displays.
GIGABYTE includes special GPU selector software. This program makes it easy to split tasks between your laptop’s internal graphics and the external AI BOX.
