GIGABYTE showcased new STEALTH and WOOD PC builds at Computex 2026. The display featured the B850M AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard, AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 STEALTH ICE graphics card, and the X870E AERO X3D WOOD motherboard series. The company presented complete desktop builds developed with chassis, cooling, and component partners.
Project STEALTH continues to be a well-known part of the company’s DIY PC efforts. First unveiled in 2022, the concept relocated motherboard connectors to the rear, allowing power, storage, and front-panel cables to run behind the motherboard tray instead of being visible inside the main compartment.
At Computex 2026, GIGABYTE demonstrated the latest version of the concept through systems powered by the B850M AORUS STEALTH ICE motherboard and the AORUS GeForce RTX 5090 STEALTH ICE graphics card. With connectors positioned out of direct view, the builds place more attention on the hardware itself instead of cable routing.
The STEALTH ecosystem continues to grow through wider case support. More than ten chassis manufacturers are now participating in the project, expanding compatibility across different form factors and build styles. Participating brands include Corsair, LIAN LI, InWin, Montech, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, HYTE, and several other chassis makers.
The larger partner network gives PC builders access to more case options without giving up support for reverse-connector hardware. Earlier generations of cable-free builds often depended on a limited number of compatible chassis, but the current ecosystem offers significantly broader compatibility across the DIY market.
Alongside STEALTH, GIGABYTE introduced the WOOD series. The new lineup combines desktop hardware with wood-inspired finishes and textures, moving away from the industrial styling commonly found in gaming PCs.
The WOOD series is centered around the X870E AERO X3D WOOD motherboard. GIGABYTE displayed several complete builds built around the board to demonstrate how the design integrates with different desktop environments.
Natural wood accents are incorporated into the overall design language, giving the hardware a different appearance from traditional gaming-focused products. The concept draws inspiration from minimalist interior design and places emphasis on material finishes rather than aggressive visual elements.
To showcase the WOOD lineup, GIGABYTE partnered with Noctua and TRYX during Computex 2026. The collaboration produced several wood-themed desktop builds that combined the X870E AERO X3D WOOD motherboard with enthusiast-grade components and matching hardware.
The contrast between the two projects is clear. STEALTH focuses on rear-mounted connectors and reduced cable visibility, while WOOD explores alternative materials and finishes for desktop hardware. Together, the displays demonstrate two different approaches to PC customization without changing the underlying performance-focused hardware.
Visitors attending Computex 2026 can view both STEALTH and WOOD builds at GIGABYTE’s Consumer Booth #M0520 in Nangang Exhibition Hall 1. The company is displaying multiple configurations throughout the event with support from its hardware and chassis partners.
