Keychron is expanding its gaming mouse lineup with the new G3, an ultra-light wireless model that combines a 44-gram chassis, PixArt 3950 sensor, and up to 8K polling in a compact competitive-focused design, joining the growing segment of high-performance wireless gaming mice.
The G3 uses PixArt’s flagship 3950 optical sensor with support for up to 30,000 DPI, 750 IPS tracking speed, and 50G acceleration. Keychron pairs the sensor with an ARM-based controller that enables 8,000Hz polling in 2.4GHz wireless mode, a feature increasingly found in flagship esports peripherals.
According to Keychron, the mouse can reach as low as 0.41ms latency in 2.4GHz mode at 8K polling. The company cites third-party LTT Labs testing and says this figure is more than 30 times lower than standard wireless mouse latency.
Tri-mode connectivity is included, allowing the G3 to operate over 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth 5.3, or wired USB-C. Buyers can choose between translucent polycarbonate and carbon fiber shell options, with both versions sharing the same shape and internal specifications.
Battery capacity is rated at 500mAh. Keychron lists up to 37 hours of use at 8K polling, 140 hours at 1K polling in 2.4GHz mode, and up to 160 hours in Bluetooth mode at 125Hz.
For primary clicks, the G3 uses Huano Transparent Shell White Dot mechanical micro switches rated for 120 million clicks. The mouse measures 120 × 63 × 38.8 mm and features a symmetrical-inspired shell with a mid-to-rear hump profile.
Its overall sizing places it in the same category as lightweight competitive mice such as the Pulsar X2 and Endgame Gear OP1, targeting users who prefer medium-sized esports-oriented shapes.
Keychron also includes support for its browser-based Launcher web app, allowing users to adjust DPI, polling rate, macros, lift-off distance, and onboard settings. Five onboard memory profiles are supported.
Pricing starts at $84.99 for the translucent polycarbonate version and rises to $109.99 for the carbon fiber model, placing the G3 directly against other premium lightweight esports mice in the market.
