Mouse Computer has launched the M2 2-in-1 tablet PC, a detachable Windows device featuring a 12.6-inch OLED touchscreen and Intel’s 13th-generation Core i5-1335U processor.
The device combines the portability of a tablet with the functionality of a Windows laptop. Because of this, the M2 can be an alternative to devices such as Microsoft’s Surface Pro series for productivity, digital drawing, and everyday computing. Other modern convertible laptops such as the Lenovo Yoga 9i Gen 11 also target users who want flexible laptop and tablet modes.
The system comes with 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD, along with stylus support and a detachable keyboard. Mouse Computer is targeting students, professionals, and mobile users who want a lightweight Windows tablet that can also work as a traditional laptop. Convertible systems like the Dynabook Portégé X45W also focus on productivity and flexible laptop-tablet use. Pricing starts at ¥159,800 (about $1,000 at current exchange rates) in Japan.
The M2 features a 12.6-inch OLED display with a 2,560 × 1,600 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The touchscreen supports 10-point multi-touch input, and the stylus supports 4,096 pressure levels.
The device is powered by Intel’s Core i5-1335U, a 13th-generation mobile processor based on Intel’s hybrid architecture. Newer Intel laptop platforms such as the Xiaomi Book 14 Panther Lake also use hybrid CPU designs for efficiency and performance.
The processor can boost up to 4.6 GHz, which is enough for everyday tasks like multitasking, office work, and web browsing, along with some light creative work. It also uses Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, which helps with basic graphics tasks and smooth media playback.
The M2 includes 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB NVMe SSD, allowing the system to run smoothly and handle multiple tasks at the same time. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5, allowing stable high-speed networking and support for modern wireless accessories.

Mouse Computer designed the device as a flexible, detachable system that can switch between tablet and laptop modes. A detachable keyboard with a large touchpad is included in the package.

The keyboard uses a JIS layout and offers about 1.9 mm of key travel, which is deeper than many ultra-thin detachable keyboards. This may provide a more comfortable typing experience during longer work sessions.
For video calls and photos, the tablet has a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera. The rear camera can also be used for document scanning, QR code scanning, and quick photos when the device is used in tablet mode.
The device is designed to stay portable. The tablet measures approximately 285.7 × 183.9 × 8.9 mm (11.25 × 7.24 × 0.35 inches) and weighs about 2.78 lb (1.26 kg).
The tablet uses a 35 Wh battery with USB-C Power Delivery charging. Connectivity includes two USB-C ports, both of which support charging and external display output. This allows users to connect monitors, docks, or accessories using a single cable.
The M2 runs Windows 11 Home, giving users access to the full Windows software ecosystem, including desktop productivity apps and professional software tools. This makes the device more flexible than many mobile-first tablets while still keeping the portability of a touchscreen device.
With its OLED display, detachable keyboard, and stylus support, the M2 enters the premium Windows detachable tablet segment. Devices in this category are currently dominated by Microsoft’s Surface Pro lineup.
Mouse Computer is offering the M2 2-in-1 tablet PC through its official store in Japan, with pricing starting at ¥159,800 (approximately $1,000 USD based on current exchange rate).
