OneXPlayer has announced pricing for its new X2 Mini Pro, an 8.8-inch OLED handheld PC. The device features detachable controllers and a magnetic snap-on keyboard that turns it into a 2-in-1 laptop. It is built to run local artificial intelligence models and popular games directly on the hardware.
The handheld is powered by AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 388, an eight-core processor that hits a 5 GHz boost clock. This chip provides 50 NPU TOPS and 118 total combined TOPS of AI performance. These specifications exceed the performance of the neural engines found in Apple’s M1 to M4 Mac Mini computers.
To help run large AI models, the machine supports up to 64GB of RAM. Users can expand the internal SSD storage to 4TB, and adding a mini SSD and microSD card brings the total capacity to 8TB. This processor family is part of AMD’s push into high-end mobile silicon, which also includes the Ryzen AI Max 400 series.
