Philips has added to its Evnia 5000 gaming lineup with the new 27M2N5201P, a 27-inch esports-focused monitor that combines a 260Hz overclocked refresh rate with aggressive £159.99 pricing, expanding the brand’s gaming display portfolio.
The display offers 27-inch Fast IPS panel with Full HD resolution and a native 240Hz refresh rate, which can be pushed to 260Hz through overclocking, positioning it among the latest high-refresh gaming monitors. Philips rates the monitor at 1ms gray-to-gray response time, while Smart MBR mode lowers perceived motion blur to 0.3ms during rapid movement.
AdaptiveSync and Low Input Lag support are included for competitive play, features increasingly common in esports-focused displays. Its 1080p resolution also keeps GPU demands lower than 1440p alternatives, helping mainstream graphics cards sustain higher frame rates. The tradeoff is lower pixel density compared to sharper higher-resolution panels, particularly at 27 inches.
HDR10 input support is available, alongside Philips’ Evnia Precision Center software for display tuning and profile management, complementing the company’s broader Evnia monitor software ecosystem.
Connectivity includes one HDMI 2.0 port, one DisplayPort 1.4 input, and a headphone output. Philips includes both HDMI and DisplayPort cables in the box.

The included stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment for ergonomic positioning. For eye comfort, the monitor also includes Flicker-Free support, LowBlue Mode, and SoftBlue technology.
Philips also includes AI-Enhanced Ambiglow, a rear RGB lighting system that reacts to on-screen content in real time and projects matching colors behind the display.
At £159.99, the 27M2N5201P undercuts many 240Hz-plus gaming displays, making it one of the cheaper 27-inch high-refresh esports monitors currently announced in its segment.
The Philips Evnia 27M2N5201P will go on sale in the UK at the end of April.
