Princeton’s PHD-ISM2G4DG Mainstream M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD Scheduled for Release

Princeton’s PHD-ISM2G4DG mainstream M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD series is scheduled to go on sale on June 26, 2026. The internal drive uses the NVMe 2.0 protocol and will be available in 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities. Estimated retail pricing starts at 32,800 yen (around $205 USD) for the 512GB model, rising to 57,800 yen (around $360 USD) for the 1TB model and 94,900 yen (around $590 USD) for the 2TB model.

The M.2 2280 drive uses a Phison E27T series DRAMless controller paired with 3D TLC NAND flash memory. All three models reach sequential read speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s. The 512GB variant reaches write speeds of up to 4,300 MB/s, while the 1TB and 2TB versions top out at 6,400 MB/s.

Write endurance scales with capacity, starting at 160 TBW for the 512GB drive, 320 TBW for the 1TB model, and 640 TBW for the 2TB variant. Princeton backs the storage hardware with a three-year warranty, though coverage ends early if the drive exceeds its rated TBW limit. The drive operates in standard environments from 0 to 70°C and weighs approximately 7 grams (0.015 lbs).

The drive fits standard desktop motherboards and is suitable for expanding storage capacity in the best SSD laptops. Users can buy the new storage line from Princeton’s official online store and other retail partners starting this Friday.
