Samsung’s Odyssey G80HS enters the market as the first gaming monitor built around a 6K panel, combining ultra-high resolution with a dual-mode refresh system designed for both visual detail and high-speed gameplay.
The 32-inch display runs at 6144 × 3456 resolution with a native 165Hz refresh rate. A dual-mode setting lowers resolution to 3072 × 1728, allowing the refresh rate to reach up to 330Hz. This setup allows the screen to switch between a high-resolution workspace and a faster competitive gaming mode.

A Fast IPS panel is used instead of OLED, with a 1 ms (GtG) response time and wide 178° viewing angles. Brightness of this monitors is upto 350 nits, paired with HDR10 and HDR10+ support, although the panel does not include local dimming hardware. Contrast is listed at 1000:1, which is typical for IPS displays.
Adaptive sync support covers both AMD FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility, helping reduce tearing across a wide refresh range.

Connectivity is built around high-bandwidth inputs. DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) is required to drive the 6K resolution at higher refresh rates, alongside two HDMI 2.1 ports and a USB 3.2 hub with two Type-A ports. A headphone jack is included, while USB-C support is not part of the configuration.

Color output reaches 10-bit depth with support for over one billion colors, and pixel density sits around 224 PPI, placing it closer to high-resolution productivity displays than standard gaming monitors.
The stand supports height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments, and the panel includes flicker-free operation and eye-saver mode for extended use. Additional features include gaming tools such as Black Equalizer, Virtual Aim Point, and Core Sync lighting.

Pricing is set at €1,499 in Europe, with pre-orders already open and shipping expected to begin in June 2026.
While most recent high-end gaming monitors have shifted toward OLED panels, this model focuses instead on resolution and flexibility. The dual-mode approach allows it to operate as both a high-resolution display and a high-refresh gaming screen, depending on the setup.
