A waterproof and fanless desktop utilizing AMD’s Ryzen 9000 processors is now available from Silent PC starting at $3,350. The computer uses a fully sealed IP65-rated case that lacks fans, front-facing USB ports, and audio connections. Cooling is handled entirely by the metal chassis itself, which functions as the heatsink.

Silent PC says the computer is suitable for boats, dusty factory floors, vehicles, and outdoor fields where normal hardware would quickly fail. However, the high starting price covers a configuration without a discrete graphics card, utilizing integrated graphics instead.

The base configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X processor, an ASRock X600TM-ITX Thin Mini-ITX motherboard, 32GB of DDR5 SO-DIMM RAM, and an NVMe SSD. An upgrade to the Ryzen 7 9700X is available for an additional $165. Because the chassis relies on passive cooling, Silent PC limits the processor wattage to prevent overheating, which reduces performance during long, heavy workloads.
This design is little larger and more expensive than typical small office computers like the MSI Cubi NUC TWG Mini PC. Networking is supported via Gigabit Ethernet to maintain a sealed connection. The fanless desktop is expected to ship to industrial customers soon.
