TCL FFALCON Launches 24.5-Inch 300Hz Fast IPS Gaming Monitor for $88

TCL’s FFALCON brand introduced the Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition in China with a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel, 1080p resolution, and refresh rates reaching up to 300Hz for 599 yuan, or roughly $88. The monitor focuses on competitive gaming with a smaller esports-style screen size, ultra-high refresh support, and low-latency panel tuning while staying far below the pricing attached to most 240Hz and 300Hz gaming displays.

The display features a TCL CSOT Fast IPS panel running at 280Hz by default with a 300Hz overclock available through DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity. HDMI 2.0 support remains limited to 240Hz.

FFALCON gives the monitor with a 1ms gray-to-gray response time together with built-in overdrive controls and MPRT-Plus motion reduction support for clearer motion during fast gameplay.

The panel carries 99% sRGB coverage and 93% DCI-P3 color coverage together with 10-bit color support through 8-bit + FRC processing. FFALCON claims factory calibration with Delta E values below 2.

Brightness reaches up to 400 nits together with HDR400 support. The monitor supports AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility.

Gaming-related features cover dynamic crosshair overlays, dark scene enhancement controls, and additional image tuning options.

FFALCON offers the monitor with a smaller hexagonal stand base and tilt adjustment between -5° and 15°. There is no height adjustment, swivel, or pivot support.

The monitor carries hardware-level low blue light support together with DC dimming technology to reduce visible screen flicker during longer sessions.

Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 1.4 input, one HDMI 2.0 port, and a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. Monitor settings are controlled through a five-way joystick placed on the rear section of the display.

TCL recently introduced another Thunderobot gaming monitor as well, with the newer 25Q5A carrying a 300Hz Mini LED panel configuration.

At roughly $88, the Thunderobot Q5AD YYDS Edition currently ranks among the lowest-priced 300Hz gaming monitors announced so far.
