VitaLink 13-Inch 4K Touchscreen Keyboard Dock Turns Phones Into Laptop Setup

VitaLink has opened Kickstarter pre-orders for a 13-inch 4K touchscreen keyboard dock built for phones, tablets, mini PCs, and laptops. Connect a compatible device over USB-C, and the accessory works like a compact laptop shell with its own screen, keyboard, and speakers, similar to other portable workstation accessories.

The display comes with 13 inches and runs at 3840 × 1600 resolution with an ultra-wide 2.4:1 aspect ratio. That gives more room for side-by-side apps, spreadsheets, timelines, or chat windows than a standard 16:9 panel, much like other productivity-focused wide displays. VitaLink also lists 10-point touch support and full sRGB color coverage on the campaign page.

Unlike a basic portable monitor, this model folds shut like a notebook, giving it a more integrated travel design. The keyboard has scissor switches with 0.8 mm key travel, and three backlight modes are included for low-light work or travel.

The CNC aluminum body measures 20 mm thick when closed and weighs about 1.18 kg (2.6 lbs). A 180-degree hinge lets the screen lay flat, which could be useful on airplane tray tables or narrow desks.

Two USB-C ports handle display connection and power input. VitaLink lists support for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPadOS, desktop PCs, and mini PCs, including compact systems in the growing mini PC segment. Real-world compatibility will depend on whether the connected device supports video output over USB-C. Some phones and tablets may offer limited support.

Built-in speakers are included, and buyers can choose alternate keyboard layouts for an added fee. The standard version ships with a US layout.

Early Kickstarter pricing starts at $279. The campaign also lists a $658 retail figure, though that is a campaign estimate rather than an established market price. Estimated shipping is September 2026. As with any crowdfunding product, final specifications and delivery timelines may change before release.

Products in this category are often called lapdocks, but VitaLink aims to stand out with its ultra-wide 4K touchscreen and full keyboard in a single travel-ready design, a niche that continues to expand with hybrid mobile accessories.
