Colorful Confirms iGame M16 Origo Gaming Laptop With Core Ultra 7 270HX and RTX 5060

Colorful has officially confirmed pricing and launch details for the new iGame M16 Origo gaming laptop in China. The laptop will launch on May 21 with a starting price of 8,999 yuan, which converts to roughly $1,246 USD based on current exchange rates, for the configuration featuring Intel’s Core Ultra 7 270HX processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU.

The iGame M16 Origo targets the upper mid-range gaming laptop market, where manufacturers are focusing on high refresh rate displays, newer RTX 50-series graphics, and thinner chassis designs. The model combines Intel’s latest Arrow Lake HX mobile platform with NVIDIA’s next-generation laptop graphics in a 19.9mm chassis that weighs around 2.35kg.

Unlike thinner office-focused laptops, gaming systems in this category must balance cooling performance, GPU power limits, and portability. Colorful says the M16 Origo uses a dual-fan cooling system with six heat pipes and phase-change thermal material to help manage heat during gaming and heavy workloads. However, sustained performance levels and fan noise will still depend on the laptop’s real-world thermal tuning, which has not yet been independently tested.

The Core Ultra 7 270HX belongs to Intel’s high-performance HX laptop series, which is designed for gaming notebooks and creator systems that require higher power limits than thin-and-light laptops. The RTX 5060 Laptop GPU is expected to sit in the mid-to-upper gaming segment for this generation. The 115W configuration used here suggests Colorful is targeting stronger gaming performance than lower-power RTX 5060 laptop implementations.

The display is another major part of the package. The laptop uses a 16-inch 2.5K panel with a 300Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. High refresh rate displays are mainly useful for competitive games where smoother motion and lower input delay can improve responsiveness.

The inclusion of a 99Wh battery is also notable because many gaming laptops still ship with smaller battery packs. A larger battery can help improve unplugged runtime during lighter workloads, although battery life during gaming is usually much lower because dedicated GPUs consume significantly more power under load.

Colorful also includes Thunderbolt 4 connectivity and 2.5Gb Ethernet, which are features commonly found in higher-end gaming systems. Thunderbolt support can help with fast external storage, docking setups, and multi-display connections.
