Lenovo Releases Legion Y9000P With 175W RTX 5090 and 240Hz OLED Display

Lenovo launches the Legion Y9000P Extreme Edition for 2026 with RTX 5090 Laptop graphics carrying 24GB VRAM and Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors rated at up to 165W. The notebook pairs the flagship hardware with a 16-inch 240Hz OLED display reaching 1100 nits brightness and arrives as Lenovo’s highest-end Legion gaming laptop currently listed in China.

The top configuration combines Nvidia’s RTX 5090 Laptop GPU running at up to 175W with 64GB DDR5 memory and 2TB SSD storage. Lenovo is offering several lower configurations as well, scaling down through RTX 5080 and RTX 5070 Ti variants while keeping the same chassis design and OLED display hardware.

Lenovo pairs the notebook with a triple-fan cooling layout rated for up to 285W thermal performance. The rear section of the laptop grows noticeably larger compared with thinner Legion models, giving the cooling hardware more room around the exhaust layout.

The 16-inch OLED panel carries a 2560 × 1600 resolution, 240Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and a taller 16:10 aspect ratio. Peak brightness reaches 1100 nits, placing the Y9000P among the brighter OLED gaming laptops currently announced.

The chassis continues Lenovo’s premium Legion design language while adding RGB lighting across the rear exhaust section, lower front edge, and rear body accents. Buyers can choose between Carbon Black and Ice White finishes depending on configuration.

Lenovo is selling several special editions through its Chinese storefront as well, including Black Myth: Wukong co-branded versions and Platinum Unicorn limited editions alongside the standard Legion Y9000P lineup.

Connectivity remains extensive for a flagship gaming notebook. Lenovo lists Wi-Fi 7 support alongside multiple high-speed ports designed for external displays, gaming accessories, and high-speed storage devices.

The laptop continues carrying Lenovo’s TrueStrike keyboard featuring deeper travel and a firmer typing feel compared with thinner ultrabook-style keyboards.

The notebook is powered by Windows 11 Home Chinese Edition out of the box. The company is currently offering free AI-generated lid printing and complimentary C-side engraving during the early sales period through its online store.

Orders placed before 4:00 PM local time are expected to arrive within two days according to Lenovo’s storefront listings, while customized versions may require an additional three business days for processing. Lenovo notes that customized products are excluded from the company’s standard 14-day return policy.

The company is currently offering 12-month interest-free installment plans, trade-in support, educational discounts, and government subsidy programs across supported configurations in China. Lenovo is selling several optional protection packages as well, including accidental damage coverage, replacement services, and extended warranty plans.

Lenovo Legion Y9000P’s pricing starts at 20,999 yuan for RTX 5070 Ti configurations, while higher-end RTX 5090 versions reach 41,999 yuan depending on memory, storage, and finish selection.

Lenovo has not confirmed global availability for the Legion Y9000P Extreme Edition yet.
