ASUS Reveals TUF GAMING Z890-BTF WIFI7 Hidden-Connector Motherboard

ASUS listed the TUF GAMING Z890-BTF WIFI7 motherboard featuring hidden rear-side connectors, a 600W GC-HPWR graphics card slot, and Intel Z890 support for Core Ultra 200 desktop processors. The new ATX board joins ASUS’ Advanced BTF lineup while moving the hidden-cable layout into the more mainstream TUF Gaming series.

The motherboard supports Intel’s LGA1851 platform together with DDR5 memory and a PCIe 5.0 x16 SafeSlot carrying ASUS PCIe Q-Release support for easier graphics card removal. ASUS equips the board with a 16+1+2+1 80A DrMOS VRM layout aimed at higher-end Core Ultra desktop CPUs.

A dedicated GC-HPWR slot put behind the motherboard and can deliver up to 600W directly to compatible ASUS BTF graphics cards without visible front-side GPU power cables. ASUS previously introduced the feature through higher-end ROG BTF models, but the new TUF Gaming version moves the design into a lower pricing tier.

Storage support covers four M.2 slots, including one PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot for next-generation SSDs. SATA expansion remains available for additional storage drives as well.

Networking hardware includes Wi-Fi 7 and Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet. Rear I/O connectivity carries dual Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C ports together with HDMI, DisplayPort, and multiple high-speed USB connections. ASUS adds front-panel USB 20Gbps Type-C support too.

Most headers and power connectors move behind the motherboard tray under ASUS’ Advanced BTF layout for cleaner front-side cable routing in compatible cases.

It comes with AI Cooling II, AI Networking II, BIOS FlashBack, Aura Sync RGB support, and Q-Dashboard controls alongside the company’s “AI PC-ready” branding for Intel Core Ultra desktop hardware.

The motherboard follows ASUS’ growing BTF ecosystem that pairs rear-connector motherboards with compatible graphics cards and cases built around hidden cable routing layouts.

The official product page is already live on ASUS’ website, although several detailed specification sections still remain partially hidden publicly. ASUS has not confirmed official pricing or regional availability yet.
