CTL’s New All-in-One PC is Built to Last with an Easy-to-Upgrade Design

CTL is taking a different path in the desktop market with the MTIP24OPS, a 23.8-inch display that combines the simplicity of an all-in-one PC with hardware that can be replaced without changing the monitor itself.

Instead of permanently attaching the computer to the display, CTL has built an Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) slot directly into the monitor, allowing users to install ChromeOS, Windows, or Android computing modules inside the screen.

The approach addresses a long-standing issue with traditional all-in-one PCs. When processor performance becomes outdated, organizations often need to replace the entire device, even if the display remains perfectly usable. With the MTIP24OPS, only the OPS module needs to be swapped, allowing the monitor to remain in service for much longer.

The MTIP24OPS features a 23.8-inch Full HD panel with a three-sided borderless design. A built-in 5MP webcam sits above the display and supports mechanical adjustment of up to 20 degrees. The monitor is designed for environments where video communication is part of daily operations, including classrooms, remote learning spaces, business workstations, reception areas, and public service locations.

CTL offers the monitor with a fully adjustable stand supporting height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustments. The flexibility allows the display to adapt to different desk layouts and user preferences without requiring additional mounting hardware.

Alongside the monitor, CTL is offering ChromeOS desktop configurations powered by Intel’s Core i3-1315U and Core i7-1355U processors. Both versions ship with 8GB of LPDDR4x memory and 256GB of eMMC storage. Memory can be expanded up to 64GB for organizations that require additional capacity.

The OPS design is the defining feature of the platform. Computing hardware is housed inside a removable module that slides directly into the monitor. When newer processors become available, the module can be replaced while keeping the display, webcam, stand, and workspace setup unchanged.

The platform supports ChromeOS, Windows, and Android OPS modules, giving organizations flexibility when deploying desktops across different departments or use cases. A business may standardize on ChromeOS, while another environment could deploy Windows or Android hardware using the same display platform.

Connectivity on the monitor consists of USB Type-C, USB 3.0 Type-A, dual USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and HDMI input support. Additional connectivity is provided through the installed OPS module.

The ChromeOS configuration offers Gigabit Ethernet, USB Type-C, USB 3.2, USB 2.0, HDMI 2.0a, and audio connectivity. Wireless networking is supported through Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.

For organizations already using ChromeOS devices, management remains centralized through Google’s Admin Console. IT administrators can manage desktops and Chromebooks from the same interface, simplifying software deployment, policy management, and security administration across large device fleets.

CTL has priced the MTIP24OPS monitor at $299. Complete ChromeOS desktop configurations start at $955 for the Intel Core i3 model and $1,017 for the Intel Core i7 version. Availability is scheduled for July 2026.
