BenQ PD2732U Gets 4K Panel, 99% Adobe RGB and Thunderbolt 4

BenQ’s PD2732U combines a 27-inch 4K IPS panel, 99% Adobe RGB coverage, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, Pantone validation, and Calman certification in a monitor aimed at photographers, designers, and video editors.

The monitor features a 3840 × 2160 IPS panel with brightness reaching up to 400 nits. BenQ has applied an anti-reflective coating to reduce distractions from room lighting, making the display more comfortable during long editing sessions.

BenQ rates the display for 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, 99% Adobe RGB, and 99% Display P3/DCI-P3 coverage. These color spaces are widely used across photography, video production, graphic design, publishing, and content creation.

For photographers, Adobe RGB coverage allows more accurate representation of colors commonly found in prints and professional image workflows. Display P3 coverage is equally important for creators producing content for modern smartphones, tablets, laptops, and streaming platforms.

BenQ offers the display at Delta E ≤2 and ships it with factory calibration. This reduces the need for extensive adjustments before beginning color-critical work. Designers, photographers, and editors can move into projects with a higher degree of confidence that what they see on screen closely matches the intended output.

The company has added 25-zone uniformity compensation technology. Brightness and color can vary slightly across large display panels, particularly near the edges. This feature is designed to keep the screen looking more consistent from corner to corner, which can be valuable when editing images, reviewing layouts, or preparing content for print.

Pantone validation and Calman certification are part of the package as well. Both certifications are widely recognized in professional creative workflows and are often used as indicators of color accuracy.

BenQ bundles AQCOLOR Pilot software with the monitor. The software provides access to color management controls and different color modes. The display supports color matching with Apple devices, helping maintain similar color output when projects move between a MacBook, iPad, and external monitor.

A dedicated OSD Hotkey Puck is included with the display. Instead of navigating monitor menus through standard buttons, users can quickly switch between settings and color modes using the external controller. This can be useful for creators who frequently move between different workflows throughout the day.

The PD2732U features both Thunderbolt 4 upstream and downstream ports. A single Thunderbolt cable can carry video, data, and peripheral connections between the monitor and a compatible laptop while supporting high-speed transfers.

BenQ has added HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-C ports, three USB-A ports, and a 3.5mm audio jack. External drives, cameras, tablets, card readers, and other accessories can be connected directly through the monitor, reducing the need for additional docking hardware.

The PD2732U operates at 60Hz, which is typical for professional displays focused on resolution, color accuracy, and content creation rather than high-refresh-rate gaming.

BenQ has listed the monitor at 5,999 yuan in China. The product is currently showing as out of stock on local retail platforms, while information regarding availability in other markets has not yet been announced.

A 4K IPS panel, 99% Adobe RGB coverage, 99% Display P3 coverage, Thunderbolt 4 connectivity, Pantone validation, Calman certification, and dedicated color-management tools place the PD2732U among BenQ’s most color-focused 27-inch displays to date.
