Cooler Master launches MasterFan A and M Series With Aluminum Frames

Cooler Master’s MasterFan A Series and MasterFan M Series are available for pre-order in 120 mm sizes, while 140 mm models will follow later. Both fan families feature aluminum frames, and the MasterFan A120 and MasterFan M120 earned Cybenetics Diamond ratings for cooling performance. The lineup is intended for desktop PCs ranging from gaming builds to creator workstations and liquid-cooled setups.

The MasterFan A Series pairs a full aluminum frame with die-cast aluminum blades. The rigid metal construction allows blade-to-frame clearance to shrink to just 0.6 mm, reducing air leakage and directing more airflow through radiators, tower coolers, and densely packed PC cases.

Each MasterFan A model features a seven-blade design, a three-piece blade assembly, dual-ball bearings, industrial-grade two-stage dynamic balancing, and a three-phase, six-pole motor. These components support continuous operation at higher fan speeds while maintaining stable rotation.

MasterFan A120 FC comes with Cooler Master’s Turbo Charge Controller. When Turbo Charge mode is enabled, fan speed reaches 4,000 RPM, airflow reaches 121.73 CFM, and static pressure climbs to 13.15 mmH₂O. Maximum noise is rated at 42.5 dBA. Cooler Master backs the fan with a six-year warranty and quotes an MTTF of more than 200,000 hours.

The standard MasterFan A120 operates between 0 and 2,500 RPM. It delivers up to 76.9 CFM of airflow and 6.1 mmH₂O of static pressure while producing up to 29.7 dBA of noise. Both 120 mm versions measure 30 mm thick, giving them additional depth compared with the 25 mm format commonly found in desktop PCs.

Two 140 mm models are planned as well. MasterFan A140 reaches 104 CFM of airflow with 3.41 mmH₂O of static pressure. MasterFan A140 FC increases maximum speed to 3,000 RPM, delivering up to 164.4 CFM and 8.28 mmH₂O. Like the A120 FC, it carries a six-year warranty.

MasterFan M Series combines an aluminum frame with Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) blades and Magnetic Dynamic Bearing technology. LCP keeps the blades rigid while reducing weight, and the bearing design lowers internal friction during operation.

MasterFan M120 ARGB reaches up to 2,300 RPM, producing 75.2 CFM of airflow and 5.4 mmH₂O of static pressure with a maximum noise level of 27 dBA. MasterFan M140 ARGB operates at speeds up to 1,600 RPM, delivering 81 CFM of airflow and 2.39 mmH₂O of static pressure while reaching 25.9 dBA. Both fans feature Addressable RGB Gen 2 lighting built into the hub and come with a five-year warranty.
