GMKtec Launches EVO-X1 Pro Mini PC with Ryzen AI 9 HX 470

GMKtec has launched the new EVO-X1 Pro mini PC on retail platforms, refreshing the original model with a new AMD Ryzen AI processor. The compact desktop uses the same metal chassis as its predecessor but updates key internal hardware components. Attentive buyers can place orders starting next week when the device becomes available.

The updated mini PC is powered by the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, which is the same chip used in the recent OneXPlayer X1 Pro handheld. This processor has a built-in neural processing unit designed to accelerate local artificial intelligence workloads. The manufacturer pre-installs the GMKtec Claw software environment to help users run local AI models easily.

The EVO-X1 Pro has 64GB of onboard LPDDR5-6400 memory, which is a change from the faster LPDDR5X-7500 memory used in the original model. In addition to the memory, storage includes a 1TB PCIe solid-state drive, and a second M.2 PCIe Gen4 slot is available for expansion. The mini PC comes pre-installed with the GMKtec Claw software to run local AI models, similar to the workloads targeted by the larger AMD Ryzen AI developer platform.

Despite weighing only 590 grams (1.3 lbs), the miniature chassis includes a dual-fan cooling setup combined with a vapor chamber. This cooling design aims to prevent thermal throttling during heavy multitasking or content creation tasks. The metal housing keeps a very small desk footprint while maintaining efficient heat dissipation.

For network connectivity, the mini PC includes dual 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports alongside an integrated Wi-Fi 7 wireless card. The front of the chassis has a high-bandwidth OCuLink connector and a USB4 port to support external graphics cards. In addition, the hardware supports simultaneous video output to three separate displays at resolutions up to 8K.

The GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro is scheduled to go on sale on July 14, 2026, at 10:00. The initial retail price is set at 9,999 Yuan (approximately $1,375 USD), while international listings show an introductory price starting at $1,249 USD. Interested buyers can place pre-orders directly through the JD.com store page.
