HP StarBook Plus 14 Debuts With Intel Wildcat Lake and OLED Touchscreen

HP Announce the StarBook Plus 14 in China with Intel Core 5 320, a 14-inch OLED touchscreen, and pricing starting around $882. The notebook joins the first wave of Intel Wildcat Lake laptops arriving this year with a thinner chassis, lightweight portable design, and newer Intel Xe3 integrated graphics.

The Core 5 320 processor pairs six CPU cores with Intel Xe3 graphics aimed at lower-power thin-and-light notebooks, part of Intel’s upcoming architecture detailed in Intel Nova Lake desktop CPU. HP currently launch the laptop with 16GB LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB SSD in the Chinese market configuration.

HP StarBook Plus 14 notebook comes with a 14-inch OLED touchscreen carrying a 1920 × 1200 resolution, 16:10 aspect ratio, and full 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. The display keeps a standard 60Hz refresh rate alongside relatively slim bezels reaching roughly 90% screen-to-body ratio.

The OLED touchscreen stands out immediately in a price category still filled with IPS-based productivity laptops, especially against systems listed in Best Windows 11 laptops. HP has not confirmed official brightness figures yet, though the panel already places the StarBook Plus 14 among the better display configurations currently announced in the first Wildcat Lake wave.

The chassis is just 0.53 inches (13.7 mm) thick while weight lands around 2.86 lbs (1.3 kg). HP follows a minimalist silver finish with a cleaner ultrabook-style layout focused on portability rather than bulkier workstation-style designs.

Connectivity remains stronger than many ultra-thin notebooks in this category. The StarBook Plus 14 carries two USB Type-A ports, two 10Gbps USB Type-C ports supporting Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt mode, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

HP bundles a compact 65W GaN charger alongside a 59Wh battery, following compact charging trends adopted in the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Gen11 Aura Edition. Official runtime estimates have not been published yet, although Intel’s Wildcat Lake platform focuses heavily on lower power draw and improved mobile efficiency.

Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6, while security hardware includes an IR camera supporting Windows Hello facial recognition together with a physical webcam privacy shutter.

The StarBook Plus 14 currently sells in China for 5,998 yuan, converting to roughly $882 before regional pricing adjustments. HP is expected to expand the Wildcat Lake lineup into additional regions later this year.
