Morefine released G2, a compact external GPU that pairs a full desktop GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB with both OCuLink and Thunderbolt 5 connectivity. The enclosure is designed to bring desktop-class graphics to laptops and mini PCs without the bulk of traditional eGPU docks.
In terms of graphics card, it comes with RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, not a cut-down mobile version, as detailed in RTX 5060 Ti gaming PC deal. That alone puts it ahead of many portable eGPU options that rely on lower-power GPUs. Morefine has not shared official benchmark results yet, but setups using OCuLink typically keep performance loss under about 25% when paired with a capable host.
The G2 supports two connection paths, reflecting the shift to newer interfaces covered in Ugreen Thunderbolt 5 docking stations. OCuLink 4.0 x4 offers the highest bandwidth and is aimed at users with compatible mini PCs or laptops. Thunderbolt 5 is included for wider compatibility and also works with USB4 v2 devices. While Thunderbolt 5 is more flexible, it has lower bandwidth than OCuLink, which can limit performance in heavier workloads.
Alongside the upstream Thunderbolt 5 port with up to 100W power delivery, the unit includes a second Thunderbolt 5 downstream port capable of driving a 4K display at 144Hz. There are also three USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.0 output, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Cooling is designed by built-in fan with three selectable modes. Users can switch between higher cooling performance and quieter operation depending on workload. This matters in a compact enclosure where heat buildup can affect sustained GPU performance.
The design focuses on keeping size and weight low. The enclosure measures 140 × 100 × 54 mm and weighs around 700 grams (1.54 lbs). This smaller footprint is achieved by using an external power supply rather than integrating it into the chassis, making it easier to carry compared to traditional eGPU boxes.
Compared to earlier eGPU solutions, the G2 moves to newer high-bandwidth interfaces and pairs them with a desktop-class GPU, reflecting trends in external GPU designs covered in ASUS ROG Strix Aiolos SSD enclosure. That combination reduces the usual performance gap between external and internal graphics while keeping the setup more portable than full-size enclosures.
The Morefine G2 is available for pre-order at $1,099, with shipping expected to begin on May 20, 2026.
