The Spectra XSR Spire pairs Intel’s Xeon W-11865MRE processor with a sealed fanless enclosure, passive cooling, and support for up to 96GB of ECC memory and 16TB of NVMe storage. The compact mini PC is intended for military, industrial, and edge computing applications where dust, water, vibration, and extreme temperatures can affect conventional computers.
It is powered by Intel’s Xeon W-11865MRE, an 11th Gen Tiger Lake embedded processor with eight CPU cores, 16 threads, and boost speeds of up to 4.7GHz. The processor does not feature a dedicated AI accelerator, but it supports workloads such as edge AI, sensor fusion, tactical networking, battlefield management, and real-time data processing.
The mini PC supports up to 96GB of DDR4-3200 ECC memory, helping improve data reliability during continuous operation. Storage options include an mSATA SSD of up to 640GB alongside an NVMe SSD with capacities reaching 16TB, allowing large amounts of data to remain stored locally.
The aluminum enclosure transfers heat through large external cooling fins instead of cooling fans. Spectra rates the operating temperature between -40°C and 71°C, depending on the hardware configuration.

The enclosure meets IP66, IP67, and ATPD-2404 requirements for operation in harsh environments. Spectra lists aircraft, military vehicles, naval platforms, unmanned vehicles, and fixed installations among the intended deployment areas.

The XSR Spire provides 10GbE Ethernet, USB 3.0, multiple USB 2.0 ports, serial interfaces, and VGA or DVI display output. Expansion is available through one XMC slot or two Mini PCIe slots, allowing support for MIL-STD-1553, CAN bus, ARINC-429, additional Ethernet ports, and other application-specific interfaces.
The mini PC measures 21.6 × 18.25 × 7.9 cm and weighs up to 4 kg. Depending on the selected configuration, power consumption ranges from 35W to 70W, making it suitable for installations where space is limited.
Spectra has not announced pricing or availability. Customers interested in the XSR Spire will need to contact the company directly for configuration options, pricing, and ordering information.
