TCL Launches 27C2A Dual Mode QD-Mini LED Gaming Monitor

TCL has launched a new budget-friendly QD-Mini LED gaming monitor, the 27C2A, which has a dual-mode display panel. The 27-inch screen is currently available on Chinese retail platforms for buyers looking for high-refresh gaming displays. Attentive gamers noticed the listing on the JD.com e-commerce platform earlier today.

The primary draw of the new monitor is its ability to transition between two distinct display configurations. In 4K mode, it runs at a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution with a 160 Hz refresh rate to display detailed graphics. However, players can switch the panel to a Full HD mode to achieve a faster 320 Hz refresh rate at 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.

The 4K resolution and 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage make it suitable for color-critical creative work, similar to professional displays like the BenQ PD2732U. The 10-bit Mini LED panel uses 1,196 local dimming zones to achieve deep contrast levels and has a peak brightness rating of 1,200 nits. It also supports HDR 1000 to improve detail visibility in dark and bright sections of the image.

While competitive e-sports players often seek extremely high frame rates on displays like the LG native 1000Hz monitor, the 320 Hz Full HD mode offers a balanced solution. The panel maintains a fast 1 ms Gray-to-Gray response time across both resolution modes to minimize motion blur. The physical design of the display pairs a dark front bezel with a white back shell and an adjustable stand.

The included stand supports swivel, tilt, height, and pivot adjustments to help users position the screen comfortably. For connectivity, the monitor includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 connection on the back. The model is currently listed at 2,299 Yuan, which converts to approximately $338 USD.

TCL has not confirmed whether the 27C2A model will launch in international markets. However, the previous C2A Pro monitor arrived in the United States three months after its initial launch in China. If the manufacturer follows a similar launch timeframe, Western buyers can expect retail availability to begin this autumn.
