QHD gaming monitors are usually found in 27-inch sizes, while 24.5-inch models are still dominated by 1080p panels. ViewSonic is combining those two categories with the new VX25G26-2K-W, a gaming monitor that pairs a 2560 × 1440 resolution with a compact 24.5-inch screen and a 180Hz refresh rate.
That combination gives the display a noticeably higher pixel density than typical 24.5-inch esports monitors. Text appears sharper, game environments show more detail, and desktop content benefits from the additional resolution without moving to a larger screen.
Many competitive players continue to prefer 24.5-inch monitors because the entire display remains within their field of view during fast-paced matches. A smaller screen can make it easier to track action without constantly shifting focus across a larger panel. By combining that screen size with a QHD resolution, ViewSonic is targeting gamers who want sharper visuals without giving up a familiar esports-friendly format.

Fast refresh rates have become increasingly common in competitive gaming, helping reduce motion blur and improve visual smoothness during quick camera movements.
Color performance goes beyond what is typically expected from an esports-focused display. ViewSonic lists 100% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, allowing the monitor to deliver richer colors across games, streaming content, photo editing, and general desktop work. The panel supports 16.7 million colors through its native 8-bit design.
Support for AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-SYNC compatibility helps reduce screen tearing and stuttering when paired with supported graphics cards. Additional gaming tools such as crosshair overlays, black equalizer settings, and picture presets are available directly through the monitor’s on-screen menu.

HDR compatibility is listed among the display’s features, though ViewSonic has not announced any VESA DisplayHDR certification. Buyers should view HDR support as basic HDR playback compatibility rather than the higher brightness and contrast levels associated with premium HDR monitors.
For extended gaming sessions, the VX25G26-2K-W incorporates hardware low blue light technology and a flicker-free backlight design. The screen surface features an anti-glare coating intended to reduce reflections in bright environments.
In terms of connectivity, it has two HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and an audio output jack. DisplayPort connections support the monitor’s full QHD resolution at 180Hz, while HDMI supports QHD output at refresh rates up to 144Hz.
The design helps distinguish the monitor from many gaming displays currently on the market. Instead of the usual black chassis, ViewSonic has opted for a white exterior that fits naturally into white-themed gaming and workstation setups. Displays with this color scheme remain relatively uncommon in the gaming segment, particularly in the QHD and high-refresh-rate category.
The included stand supports tilt adjustment, while VESA mounting support allows installation on monitor arms and wall mounts for users who want greater flexibility.
ViewSonic has already listed the VX25G26-2K-W on its official website in China, although pricing details have not yet been disclosed. With a 24.5-inch QHD panel, 180Hz refresh rate, Fast IPS technology, and a white chassis, the monitor enters a category with relatively few direct competitors and offers an alternative to the larger 27-inch displays that dominate the QHD gaming market.
